20 total? Just do 5 stacks of 4 and put it next to a book end to keep it held up. You can do that till you find a tower. Did you try eBay for Atari storage?GirlGamer55 wrote:13 2600 carts and 7 5200 carts. I don't have a 5200 actually, just the 2600 and I don't play it very often. I suppose I could just stack them but...idk looks cluttered unless you have a whole shelf of them.

im in a similar situation other then the fact that i took over my parents whole basement, there cool with it so that helps. anyways for me I've always been slightly strapped for cash since in been in school the past 23 years. I find the best way to keep everything neat and clean for little to no cost is building your own shelves. Or book shelves form Walmart if your no handy (they go on sale for around 29.99 for 6ft tall book shelves) i am in Canada though so im not sure about anywhere else in the world. Also for bins for controllers i got awesome ones from the dollar store to hold all that stuff i picked up around 16 of them for just over $30. theres also some videos on youtube of people doing shelves with just 2x4 lumber that would be the cheapest route by far.

Re: Storage advice?
^Lucky Bastard...lol
So I'v been tossing around the idea of getting a carton of universal game cases for my games because damn do they look good on a shelf...sometimes better then the original boxes.
I'v heard how you can make your money back on ebay but does that actually happen? In my adding it all up I figured I would spend about 71 bucks on the cases. I'd use all but 16 of them, and sell them for 5 bucks a pop (with the paper printout in them). So i'd make...80 bucks if they sold. And I'm guessing these aren't the modded ones...I would think the modded ones would sell higher, but that's a lot of time spent on modding cases.
If they sold I would make my money back plus a little bit. More if I charge a little more for shipping but i'm not really the type of person who scumbags on shipping so..eh.
My questions are, can you make your money back, are they worth the money and effort put into modding them, is it cheaper in the long run to buy the cases or to buy the original boxes?
And to the last question. Is it cheaper to buy the cases then get the manuals and carts to put them together or is it cheaper to buy CIB, or cheaper even to buy the empty box, then cart, then manual?
I'm obviously trying to get the most from my money here since I have to actually count my pennys.

^ I wouldn't waste time, effort, and cash on custom cases. If you hunt enough on craigslist or kijiji if you in canada. You can snag great deals I picked up$ 5000+ worth of nib nes games with a deluxe action set for $75 last year all completely sealed. I also picked up a nib xbox, gameboy micro, and gameboy micro 20th anersery edition 3 years ago for $20 each so there is a lot of great deals out there. Hell alot of people in my area currently are making a living on it and I've been tempted to pay there insane prices EX: saturn bomberman 120
don't settle for anything thats not a good deal or amazing condition.

Yeah...I'v been down that road. There is nothing around here that's a "good" deal. People really over price their stuff and I'd be here for years trying to find boxes. It's just not going to happen for me.darkcat wrote:^ I wouldn't waste time, effort, and cash on custom cases. If you hunt enough on craigslist or kijiji if you in canada. You'll catch a ton of shit for reselling UGCs with printed inserts. The people who make those covers really don't like it when people sell them.

Re: Storage advice?
Really? Then why is ebay plastered with them lol? Any game I look up I turn up about 50 of those cases being sold by people. I guess I can see it because the artwork has a copyright on it..AppleQueso wrote:You'll catch a ton of shit for reselling UGCs with printed inserts. It's not a copyright thing, it's just that the guys on places like TheCoverProject spend a lot of time and effort putting this stuff together and making it available for free, and they don't like it when other people swoop in and profit off of what they've done.GirlGamer55 wrote:Really? Also, fuck those assholes. Anyone selling free stuff on the internet needs to be eradicated. People need to stop with the apathy and actually stop this practice.AppleQueso wrote:It's not a copyright thing, it's just that the guys on places like TheCoverProject spend a lot of time and effort putting this stuff together and making it available for free, and they don't like it when other people swoop in and profit off of what they've done.GirlGamer55 wrote:Really?
