The type of person who likes to play Breath of Fire is the type of person who usually hates iOS games. Even if the game is brilliant, it was just a poor type of platform. A huge chunk of the fanbase won't buy it.
Personally I've never met an iOS game I liked, but I'm not against them as an idea. I've heard of a few I might download if I ever got an Apple device. Nameless: The Hackers and that weird Hatsune Miku app come to mind
I'd definitely prefer the new game on a proper console.

It's an MMO. Maybe that doesn't make it a bad sequel by default, but that definitely makes it a disappointment to a sizable portion of the original fanbase. I wouldn't be interested if it was on PS3 or 360 either. But by default I have pretty much zero interest in any kind of phone game.Violent By Design wrote:Btw, what have they shown from BOF that makes it a bad sequel?

It's also a PC game though if I can recall. Why so much emphasis on it being a phone?
Re: Atlus Files Bankruptcy
Blame articles I guess. I had no idea it was coming to the PC too.
I think consistency should be considered here too. I don't like when sequels suddenly jump to handhelds or vice versa. I might even dislike that more than a series randomly getting MMO installments.

I'm sure mobile devices are the lead platform since they are saying the game is heavily touch screen based. So regardless of where it gets ported, it will still probably feel like an online mobile/browser game.Violent By Design wrote:It's also a PC game though if I can recall. I think touch screen devices are great for turn-based tactical games. This is Atlus's chance to make Persona Tactics. Imagine the monster evolution features combined with a turn-based tactics game.
Re: Atlus Files Bankruptcy
Would work fine with Devil Survivor since you don't move around any sort of maps. Just menus and grid/menu combat.
