this Stadium Events story, just like the Boston bombing, is clearly a false flag.

Federal government will use it as an excuse to take away our NES Zappers.

I hate to let games go, but an old sports game worth thousands? Bye bye.
I'm with you on that. I'd sell it and order a pile of arcade hardware faster than you can say "Please invoice with EMS Shipping"

Need FreeMCboot? I'll install it on your PS2 Memory Card for free if you cover postage both ways.
Consoles: I have too much stuff
Arcade: No seriously, I have too much stuff. Someone grab a shovel and dig me out of my basement.

If I were going for a complete CIB NES set? I'd probably keep it.

If not? I don't know. A tossup between framing it (or gasp, slabbing it) as a collection showpiece or just dumping it off. At least, that's the thought that'd go into most collector oddities like this, Star Fox Super Weekend, etc. On the other hand, this thing is CIB and worth at least $10,000, and that much money could buy a friggin' car, if not armfuls of other games.

You know what, yeah, I'd probably just sell it. A few hundred? Eh I could just save up a few paychecks, a couple thousand? That's a tax return. $10k? I'm not gonna see that kind of cash anywhere else.

Save up for a house, then head to the title company with that scary big cashier's check. Most money I've ever had in my hand at once time.

It is an scary feeling when they hand you that check. Mine was for 60k, and it went into my Bible, in my coat pocket, with my hand on it until we got to the Title company. My wife thought I was crazy, but I didnt trust anyone, myself least of all.

I agree. It was horrifying holding that much money...

If I had found the cart, then (and despite the fact that I am attempting to acquire a complete collection of NTSC carts) I would: (1) sell the cart; (2) purchase a conspicuously marked Stadium Events reproduction; (3) purchase almost every other other game I need to complete my NES collection; and (4) use the balance of the funds to pay down my student loans.
