If you objected "a woman who has been passed around" I could understand that, but you apparently only objected those that were passed around by your buddies. This is what I found puzzling!

For completeness, like with "sloppy seconds", I also don't think your wording is the most flattering there!

Ivo,

I don't think you've ever attacked anyone on this forum, and I don't think you plan to start now. We're good and my bad if I came off defensive.

To clarify, my main issue with even kissing someone a friend has slept with isn't purely physical, as I don't know of many relationships that end with no one caring for the other person. It would hurt someone's feelings, and that's not something I like to do.

PS- "sloppy seconds" and "passed around" were intended to be juvenile.

Threads like this make me thankful that I married someone I met as a teenager. The dating game is messy and stressful.

I totally understand where Luke is coming from. Although it's a weird notion to comprehend, especially when explaining it like a few of you have. Being weirded out about friends, but not other strangers, having intimate relationships with whoever it is you're potentially having sex with. It's definitely more of a mental thing, knowing their previous sexual partners personally and being able to imagine it down to the last detail. That's something I couldn't do either.

Although if it helps, Luke, I don't think you can "kiss your friends" by proxy, haha.

Lastly, this entire thread just has Larry David written all over it! First the entire premise being similar to the Seinfeld bit. Now Luke's ideology just reminds me entirely of this part from Curb: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p3dcgSlZiuU

Getting somewhat back on topic about transitioning sisters, here is one about brothers....

This girl I went to High School with was prego senior year from a fellow student named Dave. After graduating they moved into the Dave's older brothers apartment where not long after she was pregnant again... but not from Dave....

(pause for dramatic effect)

Last time I heard they were all still living together lol.

My advice is to cut your losses and move on. Lots of other pretty girls out there minus the hassle you will be getting out of doing this.

Part of a problem I've had. Our school is so small, you know everyone and their secrets. Thus, I know every pretty, innocent girl is anything but. In all honesty, I think there is only male virgins in our high school. Especially considering they all run to the same freaking guys, its something you either get over or you just wait.

On topic, I still say its a no no. There's a lot of good lookin', more than likely fun women where your at dude. No reason to go after that one.

Grew up in a town of 200 people in a k-12 public school with 20-25 people in each GRADE. Remember this is in 2005 so this gives you an idea of how fierce competition for girls was.

A friend of mine started dating one girl, they weren't really feeling it, and he ended up marrying her sister. It happens.

There is a movie with Steve Carel about a similar (but reversed, transition between brothers). Funny but quite awkward at times.

Transition between brothers I think may be actually rather common in the history of mankind as apparently some religious texts encourage that when one of the brother dies, another should take up the wife. I'm thinking Luke would hate that :)

It really was awful. Never even considered dating in high school. The 15 or so girls that were around my age were NASTY.
