There's even a code you can input on the arcade PCB of V-V to get the "bomber mode" like in Grind Stormer.

Now don't get me wrong I'm a HUGE fan of Treasure, and have several treasure games either on my 360 or elsewhere but Treasure made 2 maybe 3 shmups if you count Bangai-O

I find Radiant Silvergun to be overrated. It's overly complicated and almost too difficult with unnecessarily long stages. It's not a terrible game but it's high price tag on the Saturn makes it appear to be a better game than it is. I have it on XBOX live and previously had played it emulated. I really can't justify it's high price tag.

Meenwhile Ikaruga IS great but 1 game does make a company not.
Although I guess if we counted Axelay maybe? But that was before they broke from Konami.

Also, I played Truxton yesterday, the arcade version through mame. I found it to be...
well easy.

Your right, I buggered that up.

Truxton is easy, but it has a rocking soundtrack and is just fun, atleast until the asteroid stage.

Are you guys playing Truxton with auto-fire? I didn't find the game all that easy, at least not Compile-easy, but I was playing it with no auto-fire.

If it is too easy for you guys, maybe try the PC Engine port? I find it harder than the arcade version.

Oh god, that game... I think I clocked the first stage in at 9 minutes, and that was with no deaths. Its fun, but you have to know what you are getting yourself into.
