Since shelf space is limited there is an opportunity cost to having an item on the shelf. Why put a game up for $1 when you can put another game up for $30? That's why the cheap games lose their cases; you can fit more games into the same space, lowering the opportunity cost per unit.
Good point, and considering that Game Stop seems to be the cheapest SOBs when it comes to renting floor space, this means a lot more. :lol:

I was surprised they actually had two running stores with in 50ft of each other. They just closed down the Software ETC in the last month or two. Scared to think of how much game stuff went in to the dumpster...

I have friends who work at Deseret Industries (aka Goodwill Utah edition). It is run by the Mormon church and they have a policy that if a rated M game gets donated they throw it away. My friend saved a cart of Conkers Bad Fur Day from being thrown out.

When he told me that i thought of all the good games that were just throw away. :cry:
