For the Strat guide, go to:

http://shmups.system11.org/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1896

And scroll down to Dodonpachi Daifukkatsu. There is a lot of info on this one.

I don't see any harm in starting a novice table. I'll make one after work tonight.

Did you clear both loops Dave? Or did it not strat up a 2nd loop?

If you can clear Novice with Power, I'd bet you can clear the first loop of the normal game with Strong.

Also, anyone figure out how to get into the alternate route? Changes every midboss, and most of the stages completely.

There was just one loop.

I'll give the main mode another try soon enough, the point of playing novice was to improve in the main mode - the 1cc was a nice surprise :)

Noise, why don't you play through "wuss mode" before making petty judgments about it....

Ah ok. I wonder if the Wuss mode loops and you didn't meet the requirements, or if it just stops after the first loop. It would be a good way to work on meeting the Omote loop requirements.

With those Autobombs, you really just have to work out those lazers in Stage 5, and I'm sure you'll clear the first loop.

Everyday this damn thread makes me consider buying a new 360.

so apparently Red Star Games made a strategy guide for DDPR as a free PDF download. But it's now gone. :(

There's mention of it here: http://www.risingstargames.com/forum/vi ... 1&t=163998

(and it says they made a Deathsmiles one too).

Does anyone have amazing Google-sleuth skills and can maybe find the PDF somewhere?

EDIT: The DDPR one is written by Will Freeman.

yeah, but just as a shmup fan I'd love to print out the DDPR and Deathsmiles PDF guides.

Definitely! Ask Spadgy on shmups, he worked with RSG in localizing the Cave stuff.
