It happened Luke, you actually made me laugh out loud
Maybe I should stick to meta humor.
On topic: Sex sells (or at least has an influence on sales). Does it always work? Nope. Does is work a lot more than people think? Yup.
I've been to several craft conventions (sales oriented) and rarely have I seen a booth that didn't include a smoking hot chick or a handsome young man as the cold opener. It's fanfare, but it attracts attention. With small market purchases like a video game, sex appeal won't make much of a difference, but from personal experience I can say a little flirtation can go a long way when selling wholesale.

Please don't.
On topic: I'm usually a jerk to women that try and hook me with their looks and attention in a store. That stuff pisses me off. I remember one time awhile ago these two attractive females pulled into a gas station parking lot I was in, in some Red Bull car. They approached me (most likely because I fit the demographic at the time) trying to give me Red Bull samples or whatever and I felt insulted more than anything else, and was very rude to them.
Aggressive marketing of any kind pisses me off. I know what I want, and I'm going to buy what I want. Save your bullshit sales pitches for someone else. If some chick was pestering me while I was trying to buy a game if anything it would encourage me to leave the store and not give them any business.

Deal! OP, take some grammar and spelling lessons and treat woman with the respect that they deserve; which means NOT buying into their cheap ploys to entrap guys like you who are susceptible to it. Go buy some prostitutes and get over your fear of women. Derp.

Agreed. I'm still calling troll on this one. I am happily feeding it, I guess.

I've already been through all the english classes I need. I am not trolling, but you guys can think whatever you want to. I actually thought this was a serious topic that needed to be discussed.

The moment you wrote "hot" with two Ts was the moment this thread lost all hope of seriousness.

Really? I can't believe anyone would throw money away on not even the slightest prospect of a woman's interest in you. Did you ask her out? No. So why feel compelled to needlessly spend more of your hard-earned money? I was a very solitary person until about 5 years ago, and I can honestly say that there was no amount of flirtation from some attractive girl that was gonna make me spend my cash foolishly. I hate Gamestop, but they are a necessary evil it seems, so I am forced to go there, mostly for used game purchases. Anything new, I usually buy at Wal-Mart, or online. Something really perturbs me about buying a “new” game, when I see them pull the disk out of a sleeve and place it in an opened case. Sorry, rambling.
I get openly frustrated with anyone trying to sell me shit I don't need; simple as that. I would like to think that I am an intelligent enough consumer to know exactly what I want and what I'm willing to pay, so trying to upsell me is useless. So at the end of the day, if it makes you feel better to think that you impressed the “hott” GS girl with your impetuous spending, just think about how she tells her co-workers about how she suckered some poor kid into buying a bunch of extra bullshit.
not really. typically i know what i need to get before i'm even in the store and i'm just in there to grab it.
at least for games or technology anyways. i can see your point though; if i'm in something like a clothing store and there's a hot chick that works there that helps me decide on which shirt to get i usually don't have any second thoughts about buying it.
