Thanks Dave, I finished the content and leveled up my character so the "starter edition" is done for me, went to a few stores today that were selling its for $59 but none had any stock, only EB who want $89 for it, piss off EB.

I must be bad at the game or something - I am already 7.5 hours in, at level 15, and still not finished Act 1. I have only died maybe 2-3 times, none of which cost me much time. I don't get how people can finish the entire game in 7-12 hours

Apparently a French company is giving away vribators to girlfriends who don't have sex anymore after the Diablo launch. It's sad yet so funny at the same time.

So level-wise you're fine. You should finish Act 1 around 16 or so, and Act 2 around 22 or 23. Based on the blacksmith recipes you should finish Normal mode at level 30.

I hadn't heard of people finishing in 7-12 hours, but I know people playing round the clock have hit 60 already.

So I decided this would be a good game to play with my Fiance, the only problem being if her laptop would be able to handle it. I took a chance and bought one copy to get access to the guest pass that it comes with and installed it to her laptop. It is definitely playable, all the settings on the lowest though, but it gets very usable frame rates. She played for a little bit and, while before playing was reluctant, seems to "get" it now and wants to keep going. Looks like I need to spring for another key!

Same deal happened with me an my wife :) She didn't want to play it because it wasn't 'cute', I installed it on her comp, let her play for an hour, now she's hooked  She dragged me to Target at 10 PM to buy another copy of the game once she learned that we can't co-op until she buys her own copy.

Great to play it with a SO, only major problem is she won't let me get ahead of her in the story

EDIT: Not sure what your fiancee's laptop has, but my sister is playing D3 at 45-60 FPS on a 4 year old laptop with a 8600M GT. I love how Blizzard tries their hardest to not have to make you upgrade just for graphics. Exception being Starcraft II which just requires a really decent CPU.
If you aren't having a good time, why are you playing?

Meh, who cares about those jerks that just fly through content! Enjoy it at your own pace.
