I started playing this last night and put an hour or so into it. I went to the aquarium and then went out on a boat. The only fish I hooked on the boat got loose I guess because I wasn't ready for that yet with the beginner rod and reel. I caught some seaweed though. After that I explored the beach on a bike I rented and caught several fish off the shore and docks. I got enough points to buy a better rod and reel so maybe I can try that boat again now. I can see me putting quite a bit of time into this game.

I caught my first S class fish. Just a lion fish though.

So I picked this game up yesterday at Gamestop (new with the rod) and put it in today expecting to play it for an hour or so, just to try it out. It's now four hours later, and my arms are admittedly a little sore

So far, I've completed a couple of days, finished off a couple quests, and upgraded the aquarium once. I saved before heading out on the boat. I've managed to catch two S-ranked Royal Angelfish, but nothing else on that level yet. I'm currently trying to figure out the best way to catch a shark. I bought a bigger rod/reel combo, but I haven't found the little bugger yet.

Fun game :)

I've just been focusing on shore fishing mostly with a little bit off the kayak. I've been trying to get the fish posted on the board and entering small contest. I've caught several S-class fish but nothing real big as I am still using a medium rod and reel. I only caught a single sea bass but it was an S-class and I saw him in the water right off the big rock area so I got him by basically dropping my line in the water. I've been ignoring the aquarium though. Guess I need to visit it again.

Played for a little bit more tonight. I entered a couple of contests and manages to win one, upgraded the aquarium (which might have been a bad idea at this point) and caught a couple new fish. Still haven't caught the shark, though. I even bought the large rod/reel and some special bait. Nada. I can see them in the water, but they seem disinterested. It's going to irritate me until I can catch one of those little buggers

You pretty much have to cast right in front of the Bullhead sharks to catch them. Find one or two mostly on their own and one will bite.

Does the rod shell work well with any other fishing game on the Wii?

Put a couple more hours in tonight. I finally managed to catch the shark (thank you, KDub) and went out on the boat to catch some bigger fish. I actually managed to catch an S-ranked Snapper :) Spent the rest of the time fishing and acquired the Night Pass and Alarm clock. I've finally worked up enough points for the Pacar Beach pass, but I'll buy that later. I'm still searching for a couple of fishes to fill up my picture book first.
