And what people need to realize is MW3 will be Call of Duty 8. This franchise started in 2003. That's worse than Final Fantasy milkage.

Anyways, CoD4 is why this series completely sucks. Because the games before it were horrible, and the games after have been total trash. CoD4 was pretty decent. The campaign still sucked though. Wolfenstein 3D didn't even feel that scripted.

Really? I don't agree at all.

Maybe it's just the context of the single player, maybe it's the scope of the battles, but I can't ever bring myself to say that I enjoyed many single player campaigns better than Cod and Cod:United Offensive.

Modern Warfare had it's moments, but it all kind of became one silly action movie near the end. If I were to judge it on single and multiplayer components together, yes, I'd be inclined to agree, but I love the campaign in the original and 2 far more than any of their predecessors.

Which is a shame, because from what my friends tell me BlOps has probably the strongest single player of any CoD. I certainly wouldn't spend money on it but since you got it for free why not try it out?

please don't follow that advice, if you buy BLOPS expecting some sort of stellar single player experience you will be severely disappointed. It's still a good value for a game (and as a retro website, we all should love dead ops, their homage to Smash Tv) but its single player is a sloppy, bug laden, poorly designed, poorly written, derivative mess. It's by far the low point in the series in terms of campaign, and it would be a grave mistake to purchase it with this intent. It's been a while, but I'll certainly go into detail if you really need a good deterrent.

People that play Call of Duty (I don't even call them fans of the series) actually think other games are crap. Go to youtube and you will find a bunch of these noobs praising Black Ops over Ico. They have no respect over videogames whatsoever.

It's called an opinion. Not everyone likes Ico, and nobody has to. Not everyone plays games for the singleplayer, not everyone wants there games to be cerebral experiences with deep characters and fully fleshed out plot lines.

We all have different opinions for sure, but we still need to respect each other.
