[the 3ds right now is a light you cant get smaller than that :D, so if there was to be a change it would be just 3ds xl or just original 3ds with different colors and more battery life.

quote="ZenErik"]I wouldn't buy a 3DS if it were $1. I'll wait for the 3DS Lite with at least 10 hour battery life.

Definitely gives Nintendo an advantage when the PSV arrives, but I would rather pay more and not get junk.[/quote]

Hey, those of you who own a 3DS, how does the battery life compare to the PSP 1000?

probably the psp beats it in terms of battery life, but its all depend on the brightness level, 3d on/off, wifi on/off.
From my experience the batter life is just fine and i have ds lite also.

Thanks. I was curious cause I own a PSP and I'm cool with that kind of battery performance... I was thinking of picking up a 3DS after this price drop takes effect but all the complaints in this topic about short battery life scared me. ^^;

the battery life is weak, but i managed to watch do some eshop and watch 2 movies on netflix on it before it started to blink red. But yea with the new price range its definitly worth it to get a 3ds. More good games will come and the ability to watch 3d movies on netflix is a plus.

I don't have a PSP 1000 but my 3DS seems to last about 3 hours.

Um, currently there isn't one. They say the 10 they're giving away, that there are no plans to offer them for sale at the moment.

So the 20 free games will just happen automatically? We don't get to choose?

That's actually kinda nice for someone like me. I would never buy these download games in the first place, but if they are free, that's pretty cool.
