He was sick. I bought a copy of that game, and carefully packed it in a small tupperware container with a note. "It could be worse. You could be playing this. Get well soon".
He still has it.

If someone gave me Superman 64 I would literally beat them to death with the cartridge.
Systems: Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, N64, Gamecube, Xbox 360
WTB: Boxes for a silver Gamecube System(and a hyperport cover), and a box for an Ice Blue N64 console. Will pay 7.50 for each and shipping.

You're missing Mischief Makers. If you've played any of treasure's other games you know why you should get it.

My argument for this is that GoldenEye does stand out when strictly viewed from the perspective of console gamers. It could be that the person in question doesn't want to play any PC games. We don't know as we can't speak for his tastes or what he has access to (he could lack a computer and only view this website via his cellphone or a public computer). Plus he asked for Nintendo 64 games, so I'm giving him N64 games, regardless of their genre. It's like saying "Why buy Killer Instinct Gold when there are so many fighting games on the Sega Saturn?" or "Why play console games at all when there are so many PC games?" or potentially even "Why play older games when there are so many new ones?"Hatta wrote:Then check out the PC. It's just another platform. It's not like the PC is some other thing that can't be compared to any other platform.
My argument is that it's not worth buying an N64 just for Goldeneye, because we all have PCs and there are excellent late 90s FPSs on the PC. Goldeneye doesn't particularly stand out.
As for whether he can play older PC FPS games, services like GOG (and some of what is on Steam) will allow him to play them on current hardware, but that won't always be the case. Some of the titles I'd love to play from yesteryear aren't going to work on Windows 7 without a little bit of emulation work, and even then there aren't any promises.
That said, I really need to try Robotron 64. It sounds pretty cool.

Thanks for what you wrote. I just want to play some arcade gems and some mario's and a few other games like the wrestling genre. I am not so much intothe fps at all. I will play goldeneye and perfect dark but I will only buy them if i find them really cheap at the flea market. The only fps i play is COD black ops on my ps3. I only know a few fighting games for the 64 and thats the genre I love so I will pick up smash bros and maybe the mortal kombats but that's about it. Since I have my xbox modded with cps1 and cps2 and neo geo plus I have all the fighting games on my xbox that were released on the xbox and I own all the fighting games for the ps3, why spend my money on the fighting games for the 64.
I am going to pick up robotron 64 also ACK.

I'd also add Harvest Moon 64 and Starcraft 64 to the listed games.
I'd like to ask, how is Ogre Battle 64? How does it play? I can't find a good gameplay video anywhere, and I would like an idea of what it is like. I also have to ask if there are any good internet guides for Super Mario 64, because I am having hell. I have like, 15 stars and am doing crap otherwise.

I wouldn't recommend Starcraft 64, considering how it's not as good as the PC version yet it actually costs more. Plus, 99% of PC owners own a PC capable of running Starcraft. The Last Horseman wrote:I'd also add Harvest Moon 64 and Starcraft 64 to the listed games.

Now that I've looked into it more I'll probably get Robotron 64 some time too. I always did like the original game. Ah, williams arcade games.
I was thinking of Robotech 64 earlier, it was delayed.
