it's kind of crazy how good the reviews are for this all around. I'm glad I preordered.

I had this pre-ordered through amazon. After looking at some of the reviews, I updated my shipping to two day shipping

I want to play this as soon as possible. I've been playing the hell out of Fist Puncher and am about ready for a new beat 'em up.

From what I've read so far, it seems the Vita version has some performance issues compared to the PS 3 version, but also has a better control interface due to you having to move around an onscreen cursor for certain things like directing NPC characters(easier with a touchscreen). So each version has a flaw, but the reviews for both versions are pretty high regardless.

Man, this comes out next week and Charlie Murder comes out the week right after. Am I in beat 'em up heaven?

EDIT:You gotta love this little tidbit from the EGM review:

"I also think it’s a shame that some players only seem to be discovering Kamitani’s work with Dragon’s Crown and aren’t taking a look at his entire body of work, none of which points to a history of objectification or sexist tendencies. This isn’t former Team Ninja head Tomonobu Itagaki we’re talking about here—an utterly crass man with a history of blatant, lowest-common-denominator pandering and real-life sexual harassment issues."

Oh Itagaki, how we love you...not really.

Holy Crap! From gamingnexus:

"BioShock Infinite and The Last of Us are incredible games, but this has easily secured my vote for 2013‘s game of the year. Dragon’s Crown is a masterpiece."

Score one for old school, 2d beat 'em ups :)

Will soon see if it can unseat Shin Megami Tensei IV as my game of the year. :) TLoU was excellent. Muramasa Rebirth was great too. Those are my 3 nominees so far. I'll have to play more Bioshock Infinite before I decide on that one.

From digitalchumps:

"Thanks to cross-save functionality, I played through Dragon's Crown alternately on my PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita. Each approach has its own strengths and weaknesses. The art is gorgeous either way, but in my experience it looked crisper and prettier on my Vita's OLED than it did on my aging Samsung 48'' LCD. The Vita's touch screen functionality also proved to be immensely more satisfying for finding hidden items and plain 'ol menu navigation. The PS3 interpretation of Dragon's Crown, on the other hand, damns the player with a dragging a plodding cursor affixed to the right analog stick. It feels like a game built for Vita and ported to PS3 - and Vita would be the preferred platform if online play didn't chug with a moderate amount of on-screen activity. It's tough to go wrong either way, but I'd give the Vita an edge over the PS3."
