So many damn versions, ugh lol. Well I do have Dawn of Souls on the GBA so I could go with that. Any noticeable differences for those games on the PSP? I've also got Origins on the PSX, think that's where I first played a chunk of FFII.brunoafh wrote:Yeah, I have. It's worth a play, but you pretty much have to play the GBA or PSP (when you can, at least...) versions. The NES version is... many things went wrong.Xeogred wrote:Well anyways, lol... have either of you played FFII to completion?
I think of it as the pioneer for FF IV and VI, like how I was the pioneer for III and V, if that makes sense. Enjoyable story, good artwork, decent music, good cast of characters, a worth-while game. There's also a really cool bonus mode in the GBA/PSP version after you finish the game that's pretty damn cool.
Why is Chrono Trigger part of FF Chronicles?

This is definitely a sentiment I can fully get behind.brunoafh wrote:The point I was trying to make is that IV is truly a perfect game.

The PSP version has updated music/visuals and some bonus content (new dungeon, gear, and super boss). For those reason I suppose it's the best version, but you'll be fine with the GBA version.Xeogred wrote:So many damn versions, ugh lol. Wow - um, can I make you an offer for a copy?noiseredux wrote:that's what I have actually. It's a bootleg PS1 disc I found which makes it even funnier. But when you load up the disc it's just the translated NES ROM + emulator.brunoafh wrote:The DS version is the only official NA release, but I would strongly suggest playing the fan translation of the original NES classic if at all possible.
