That show was hilarious. I loved that show as well as Thunder Cats. I guess that's why I'm a cat person today.

I've only seen a couple episodes of the Tick and they were pretty good. Animaniacs was hilarious. Zim was good although probably overrated a little with all the hype around it. I don't remember much about ThunderCats, but I do remember thinking it was cool.

As far a cartoons not making it to DVD well...Doug. Where is Doug Nickelodeon? It's never seen a proper store DVD release that I know of.

Then there's Static Shock. It seems to have basically no home releases period. It was pretty good too, I thought. All there seems to be is one DVD/VHS with some episodes.

I think interest in Static Shock was low due to the number of other higher priority shows in the DC animated universe like Superman, Batman, Batman Beyond and Justice League. I don't think the Zeta Project got any releases either, which was a Batman Beyond spinoff

Oh yeah, the Zeta Project! I liked that show. I suppose there is a lot of higher profile stuff to publish first though. Guess I'll just have to wait...sigh...

Yet another show I miss watching on Cartoon Network. This thread is getting depressing

They have Doug listed on Amazon. 8)

Actually, they have a lot of shows listed on Amazon from Nickelodeon, along with Angry Beavers, Rocko and several live action shows that I hadn't realized they'd released. I think I may have to do a little shopping now.

Shows that have aired lately? Mostly "adult" cartoons like Aqua Teen Hunger Force, The Venture Bros., Family Guy, Futurama, and South Park.

The Mighty Avengers is AMAZING and is the only currently running, non-comedy cartoon out there that's any good. It is Marvel's animated equivalent to Justice League Unlimited. Unfortunately there haven't been any new episodes for a little while.

However I have enjoyed a TON of cartoons from the past:

-Batman: The Animated Series (90s)
-Batman Beyond
-Gargoyles
-Justice League/Justice League Unlimited
-Masters of the Universe (He-Man)
-The Real Ghostbusters
-Skeleton Warriors
-Spider-Man: The Animated Series (90s)
-Superman: The Animated Series (90s)
-Thundarr: The Barbarian
-Thundercats
-X-Men (90s)

And a lot of great Western animated movies I've enjoyed over the years, too:
-Batman: Mask of the Phantasm
-Batman: Under the Red Hood
-Batman Beyond: Return of The Joker
-Green Lantern: First Flight
-Heavy Metal
-Heavy Metal 2000
-Justice League: New Frontier
-Justice League: Starcrossed
-Resident Evil: Degeneration
-Titan A.E.
-Ultimate Avengers 1 & 2
-Wonder Woman (2009) - I'm really not a Wonder Woman fan, the only reason I saw this was because it was shown for free, pre-release at WonderCon 2009 and I was there. But trust me, this was freaking good!

Cartoons on DVD.... it'd be easier to list the shows that DO have complete runs available. Quality sets are few and far between.

Spectacular Spider-Man was fantastic as well, if Mighty Avengers is Marvel's Justice League Unlimited, then I might go as far as to say that Spectacular Spider-Man is their Batman TAS. Too bad the show was canned after its second season when the disney buyout happened.

The Doug stuff on Amazon is some deal where they burn it on demand for people. They have a few other shows they burn on demand too. Some of the amazon reviews say that the video quality is not good on these burned DVDs. :( Maybe someone else here would know for sure.
