Good thing you did NOT play MGS4 next Ziggy, MGS3 ties in so much it's not even funny, you would've been completely lost...

OH, weird. Yeah, I'll probably start playing MGS3 some time today.

edit: Just picked up MGS4 used at GameStop for $10, pretty mint copy too. :D I was scared when I heard about the massive cutscene times, but knowing that I could pause them kinda put my mind at ease.

I just beat The Fear in MGS3.

Question.... what are these green frogs I keep finding? They're like a toy bobble head or something. If I hit or shoot them, they make noises and kinda bobble. Is there any point to them? Will the game give me a total of how many I set off after I beat the game? Hopefully not, cause every time I saw one I usually ignored it.

Metal Gear Solid, what a great series. Yes the cut scenes are long, the story is complex and wacky, but I always end up finishing every entry within 2 week of its release. I can't say that for any other game ever released that I've played. Solid Snake is one of the most fascinating character in gaming. I can't wait until the next home console entry.

Dude, you need those frogs to finish the game.

I heard the new one is gonna be more run n' gun than sneaking. "Tactical Espionage Action" is being replaced with "Thunder Bold Action" or something like that. It takes place between 2 and 4. At least that's what I've read on the Wiki page. If you're that big of fan of the series, I'm sure you know this already lol.

Yeah I know. Believe me the PSP entries were shockers as well but I ended up liking those by the time I finished them. I find it amazing that I find a story that I've following since the 80s still intriguing.

Gameplay aside, last I heard Metal Gear Rising will NOT include any other of the recurring characters outside of Raiden (and maybe Rose) and I'd have to say, that's a major turn off. I for one would love to see the MGS world expanded upon and outside of Snake's story, but the things I hear about Rising... I just don't know. Wasn't it last years E3 where all we heard them talk about was CUT CUT CUT???

And Kojima not really being involved, eh. Who knows, just being skeptical I guess.
