Well apparently Portal 2 for PS3 requires firmware 3.60. So looks like I won't be buying it on PS3 after. Oh well. I'm sure I can wait until the inevitable price drop to £5 like the last game.

Soo...anyone have the pleasure of trying out Portal 2 yet? Came out today, so might be a bit too early, but I do have a few question that might get answered later.

So far, the reviews say it's great. I'll be buying it sometime.

You could just get it for the computer. If it's anything like the first one, a keyboard and mouse would be much better and give you that precision one would need for the puzzles.

I started playing this morning and have snuck in a total of two hours throughout the day. I am on Chapter 4 presently, and it has moved quickly. The game has 9 chapters, so I can see being done in 4-6 hours or so. :?

So far it's a lot like the first...which is to say I find it enjoyable but unsurprising. I'm hoping that it gets more interesting and innovative as I go.

You were unsurprised by the first Portal game? I thought it was quite the breath of fresh air and was pretty different then I expected. As far as the new one, I'm not as far as you, but the humor is so good. I'd call it a triumph, in fact I'm making a note: HUGE SUCCESS.

Ah bummer, for a while there they were giving away copies on Steam. I played it on the Xbox in the Orange Box and really enjoyed it. I actually really enjoyed playing through Half-Life 2 and the packs, whereas I couldn't really get into it on the PC, which I thought was interesting.

I agree with this assertion. I think it's hard to overstate my satisfaction with it so far.
