I thought that the more I gathered, the better I would feel, being able to experience the games that defined the 90s and all that. Instead, I only miss them more and more with each NES Game I get. Perhaps this is just nostalgia kicking in, which can make you really happy, or really sad, yet in a good way. I have since found a good way to make it feel like the 90s again:

1. Get a somewhat small CRT TV.
2. Break out your NES, SNES, Genesis, or whatever.
3. Plug it up to the TV using an RF.
4. Make the room dark.
5. Sit in your favorite seat.
6. Play.

I know it sounds really cheesy, but I found this to be rather fun. :)
Hah! That sounds great because on points 1, 2, 3, 4, & 6 reminds me of how I played Super Metroid while grounded.
I only had a 13" TV so it was real easy to literally have my TV taken away while grounded and it would be placed in the storage room under a desk with more stuff in front of it. So I sneaked my SNES in there w/Super Metroid, only had RF, the room had to stay dark or I'd be caught playing while grounded, and I played the whole game in that setting while I lay on the ground under a desk and other crap. Good memories but I really wish I didn't have to inhale all that dust while playing.
Must've been a hell of a thing. Did you ever get caught?
 Yeah... Talk about extending a grounding.

Haha. I borrowed Rygar and was playing it while grounded too. My NES, which my parents were pissed I bought in the first place, was hooked to my Commodore monitor in the den. One Saturday my father was out of town on a business trip and my mother was out running errands. I didn't have a book for the game so I was having to learn everything as I went. We lived in a subdivision outside of town so there wasn't a lot of traffic and you could hear the occasional car pass easily. I spent 6 hours playing and jumping up to look out the window every time I heard a noise outside. I did finish the game though.

This is true. I also hate that the average 7th grader has more high tech gadgets in their backpack than I own altogether.

I like how I get a signal with my six or seven year old cellphone where most of my friends iphones cant. Then again, one of my friends gave each of his kids an iphone or ipad for Christmas. I need better friends.

Man, I hate Cellphones. Granted, they are good for emergencies, but in this day and age, these damn kids just use them for texting and other stupid shit. I even read somewhere that texting is worse for the brain than pot. Not sure if there's any truth to that, I'm just going by what I read. Nonetheless, it makes me sick whenever I see someone texting, especially if they're trying to drive.

Yeah not that I'm trying to be anti-technology or anything like that but, I am going to limit the stuff my own kids have because they don't need to be glued to anything so young. My friends and I were just fine with our game consoles at home (surprisingly none of my friends had portables) and no cellphones/i-whatevers.

I'm not here to advocate people to take up substances, but that sounds like utter nonsense. Worse than "cell phone radiation can cause brain tumors." That's some 90's for you. Plenty of PSAs in the 90s terrifying you as a kid.

If texting is worse than pot, every time you use the internet should be an acid trip.

Like I said, I don't know if there's any truth to it. I'm just going by what I read. If I could remember where I read it, I'd show you.
