Rygar (PS2). The boss fight where you're floating with a transparent floor. That boss fight sucked and I fought it for a week. Finally beat that bastard with a sliver of health. Then it drops you right into the fight with the massive wall/head thing with no chance to heal or get another healing item? Fuck that. After 2 or 3 quick deaths to that guy I just gave up and haven't touched the game since.

Oh yeah, StarTropics and StarTropics 2.
In StarTropics, I could never figure out how to beat the smoke snake boss, which is pathetic since he's like the first boss you face.
In StarTropics 2, I made it all the way to the Transylvania level, then got my butt kicked fighting the owl boss. I tried over and over again and just couldn't do it, he'd win every time.

This is the guy I was referring to at 1:20. I think I had picked up all the healing items in the walls before saving so I couldn't heal before the boss fight right after. Kind of a shame as the guy's videos finish the game on #24 so I was nearly through it.Gamerforlife wrote:Oh god, that game pissed me offHobie-wan wrote:Rygar (PS2). What the hell is up on minute seven?Hobie-wan wrote:This is the guy I was referring to at 1:20.
I can see how you have problems with that later boss, because it looks like you can get a lot of damage for no apparent reason, making it hard to learn how to move.

Impossible Walls of Hardness!!!!!
We all hit em', the things that make you want to jump off of a thousand foot cliff into a group of sharp rocks. Be it that the game goes out of it's way to be an ass and not let you go on or that, like me, you just suck at gaming, walls of hardness plague us all. Personally, one of my most daunting walls occurs in Band Land in the fist Rayman game. Please, let me know about all of your walls that are there just to piss you off.
Why did Kevin Flynn blare Journey so loud in his arcade? Was he trying to hear it from the grid?

I remember finishing it too, but being rather dissapointed by it. Still, as a former greek mythology buff it was cool to see a game like that before God of War hit the sceneBradtemple87 wrote:Wow I played Rygar ages ago but I remember finishing it
