Yup. It's only on the Japanese PSN, though. You'll need to purchase a Japanese PSN card. Play-asia has them, as do some of the members here if you ask nicely (Upsidedown Fuji might, if you say please and give him beer money).RadarScope1 wrote:I had somehow forgotten that TG-16 games are now on PSN. I should pick up Alien Crush, huh?

How is Rock n Ball for NES? Been thinking of picking that one up. Have a cheap copy of Big Race on the way after this thread inspired me to have a search on Ebay.
I really like Rock N Ball. There are 4 different games you can play; a straight up pinball table with like 3 levels(there are three different sets of flippers), a plinko type gambling game, a two sided pinball table where you are trying to score on the opposite set of flippers, almost like air hockey or something like that but on a pinball field and then an actual hockey game with one flipper each in the middle of the ice and a goal you defend with an actual goalie. The two sided table and the hockey table are really fun with someone to play against.

I'll try and get all my pinball games together for a group shot this holiday weekend!

Re: Video Pinball
Found and started playing Jaki Crush.
Holy hell is this table hard!! Why wasn't this game ever ported outside of Japan? With the quality of Devil's Crush, (and this being much more addicting aesthetically than Alien Crush,) I can't understand why this stayed home in Japan.
I only have two real complaints with the game, the first being the slow gameplay. Alien and Devil seemed so fluid, but this seems to chug a bit at times - it could have benefited with a better framerate. The second is the cheap ball drains that just seem so unavoidable and cheap. I literally drained the first two balls within 30 seconds during one playthrough and had no possible way to avoid it. This game is no joke - it will demoralize the wizard in you and make you wonder why you keep playing it.
..but I can't stop. I'm going to learn this table and break my current high score of 2,500,000. And the challenge itself is why this game is so fun! The music, true to Crush fashion, is epic and awesome (gotta LOVE that SNES sound!) and the visuals fit right in with the occult and alien themes of the series' previous outings.
And now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to go break my current, (and oh so pitiful) high score!

I haven't gotten as good at it as the other Crush games either, but I still like it. Glad to introduce it to you.Rurouni_Fencer wrote:Found and started playing Jaki Crush.

Scores up to 15,500,000 now, btw! I'm getting addicted. Also, anybody on here try the tournament mode in FX2 yet?
Re: Video Pinball
I consider it a serious flaw if the table has side-drains that make you lose often, unless you are able to do something reasonable about it (activate kickbacks being the main one).

Added Time Cruise (TG16) and Pro Pinball Big Race USA (PS1) to the stable. TC isn't as good as the crush games but there's just something satisfying about playing pinball games on the TG/PCE.

Re: Video Pinball
Anybody check out the new Marvel tables that came to FX2 yet? (They should be out on PS3 as of this post, as well!)
They're all excellently crafted, but my favorites are Wolverine's table and Blade's! I love the change from night to day on Blade's, not to mention the cool music in the background (as important a part of a pinball game as it is to shmups!)
Also gotta appreciate the love they give to the lesser known villains of the Marvel universe, (I'm lookin' at you Silver Samurai!)

Hmm.. This is news to me - Gonna have to go check this one out!Hobie-wan wrote:Added Time Cruise (TG16) and Pro Pinball Big Race USA (PS1) to the stable. TC isn't as good as the crush games but there's just something satisfying about playing pinball games on the TG/PCE.

Re: Video Pinball
Added Ruiner Pinball for Jaguar. It's reasonably fun to play, but they made some poor choices on the colors and graphics for the tables. The Tower table is a bit better, but on Ruiner it is very difficult to tell what's table and what's a raised section or target that the ball will bounce off of until you learn what is what. The ball moves very fast and it took a while to get used to this one. It will get play when I have the Jag out and need a break from Tempest though.
