No extras or unlockables. People also say that the AI cheats and that it's so hard, that it's not fun. Some are even going as far to say it's the worst port they've ever played.
That sucks, I was looking forward to this collection (even if I already have MKII - with working online play, btw). Looks like another Super Mario Bros. Anniversary.
DO NOT buy this collection unless NRS or Other Ocean patches it. There are audio glitches up the asshole, and the horrible online code and input lag makes these games almost unplayable

Thanks for heads up! I hope they fix these issues soon, I'd hate to see them waste a good opportunity in this collection with how successful the MK reboot was.

That's very disappointing. Especially considering the previous MKII on PSN was near perfect. Honestly, how hard is it to make arcade-perfect ports of these games? Apparently, very hard.
I just played it online, and yeah, the lag is pretty nuts. Single player seems fine for all three games, but 1 really seems to have some distortion issues.
I think its exacerbated by the fact that the game is so barbaric now. I hadn't played the actual arcade machine in so long it was amazing how stiff the game was.
Its still fun, but damn its crazy to think how far the series has come.

Saw this one coming, but o wait, 3rd strike online came out a little while ago
I was kinda curious about this collection for when I got a 360. So its really that bad. I still can't believe that Mortal Kombat 2 for the Saturn and even the Midway collection for my Gamecube suck when compared to the 32x version. I played them one after another and the 32x version of MK2 is really the best, it has sounds that the Saturn is missing and is not as choppy.
the Saturn port of MKII is atrocious. It's incredible how much they managed to fuck it up given the power of the hardware. It's missing sounds that were IN THE GENESIS AND SNES VERSIONS for crying out loud. The sounds that are there sound like ass, and the music is all re-done in a way that it sounds like someone was trying to re-write all the music from memory or something.
the Midway Arcade Treasures version is nice imo as long as you're playing it with a nice controller. It's my preferred version, (yes, even over the 32x one) even though it has the weird start button problem that prevents you from fighting Smoke.
