I still have a dual-booted computer, but I just realized that I haven't booted into Windows for a couple months now! I guess I just can't go back to the other system, especially since it lacks useful features like the Desktop Cube and Audio Previews [you can hover your mouse over an audio file, and it will play the first 30 seconds or so of that song]. Ubuntu also just looks and feels a lot nicer than Windows; it is noticeably faster, too. Everything just feels better.

There's a tool I use to mount NTFS partitions/drives in Ubuntu that won't mount correctly on their own; it's called NTFS Configuration Tool. I know you found a solution to your problem already, but if you want to try again, give it a shot. Also, bacteria, if for some reason, you tire of Openquake, give Openarena a try; it is one of the best FPSs on Linux.
