YES! I always look forward to yr blog being updated DSH.

I actually had no idea that the DC lasted so long in Japan. I didn't realize that official games were produced all the way up until 2007. That's really cool. I guess I just always assumed that any games I heard of post-2002-ish were homebrew releases.

Certainly an interesting post. Also I like that you mentioned the two Shooter games for PS1. I have both. And like you said they were of course meant to be budget titles (both of which were ports from Simple 1000 series in Japan, which were also meant to be budget titles with the 1000 referring to how much yen they'd cost -- right? Right. I think.)

Keep it up. And more often. (That's what she said.)

That copy of Trigger Heart looks...familiar.

Is Trigger Heart presumed to be the final official game? I sometimes hear rumblings of new major DC projects in the shadows.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

I keep seeing conflicting information on that point. I think it is the final DC official game, but wasn't ready to declare that to absolutely be the case in the post.

And yes, that's your former copy of the standard edition sitting on my stool. It has left you to find a life of fame.

I think so, yes. Neither game is horrible, and both are worth at least a few minutes of play. I prefer Space Shot, personally.

I DEFINITELY prefer Space Shot. It's not bad at all. Reminds me of Gekioh in some ways. And the cutscenes are... unique. :)

Another month, another blog post.

This one is on the last retail release of the 16-bit era: http://www.rfgeneration.com/blogs/dshei ... a-1731.php

wow, great article D. Just to clarify, the original arcade game DID have a high score table though, right?

Also, I wish you had gone into the 32bit versions a bit more...

I own and have played the PS1 port, but it is far from a launch game for that system so I didn't feel it fit the focus of the blog.
