They WHAT?!
They did.
And remember when Sophia ran out of energy you would at least get that cool explosion? Well that is gone. You run out of energy, and the screen just fades to the game over screen.

Why am I playing this game?
I didn't really like the NES game, but the presentation was awesome. From what you've told me, it sounds like this version is pissing all over the legacy of Blaster Master.
Ninety Nine Nights is a game that recently has me tearing my hair out - I can't get past the first freaking level. Try as I might, the troll at the end always owns me hard. Your own army is useless against him, and his attacks have long range and are really strong. I might try again later, but only after playing a few more games first.
I haven't beaten countless games that I own. However, maybe the most noteworthy is Zelda: Ocarina of Time. I just get so bored playing it, that I just haven't gotten that far in it.
Thanks for trying Chris, but that's for the original game. I just gave up and watched a playthrough of the game where I left off. Not going to invest 10 more hours into a game. No sir.

Damn, you're right. Now that I checked some more I see that both the first and the second game have multiple glitches like that. Least Visceral could do is patch these damned glitches...
Fortunately I never had any problems with DS1. Let's hope DS2 won't give me any either...
