Wow, this thread has so much fanboyism. Where am I, in Gamefaqs?

First of all, you all can't say that "he is a dick" or not, because you don't know him at all. You mix an incredibly biased documental with reality and judge a person based on that.

I think that you all should read the official TG statements on the movie, they explain a lot:

http://forums.twingalaxies.com/viewforum.php?f=86

In fact, there was a "Billy is an ass contest" and he donated for the prize.

So, I think that you all should stop judging a person that way when you don't even know him.

Octopod wrote:I do not believe any of Mitchels scores after seeing that jumpy tape being accepted. I think Walter Day tends to favor the guys that he knows.

First of all, that was Walter's mistake and was taken back in less than 48 hours.

Second of all, we are talking about VHS tapes here, not exactly something known for their reliability.

Third of all, I don't know if you have seen the tape.

Forth of all, he has beaten that record in person quite a few times so it's too biased to think he couldn't make it.

Walter also sent Wiebe a certificate as an apology right after that. The movie skips that detail to make us think that TG never recognized his score even when he kept it for three years!

Besides, Twin Galaxies promotes itself as an international or worldwide score keeper but really it is just for NA.

No it isn't. They accept records from any place on the world. The only reason it's more based on NA is because they started there.

It's volunteer work, if more Europeans, Asians or Africans want to be referees they can.

Really, there's a lot of bias there and half of the posters decided that Billy was a dick based on a movie made by friends of his rival.

Those who idolatre Wiebe should consider that he never complained about the blatant misinformation and lies presented by the movie.

What's better? Being devastatingly good at just one or two games? Or being well rounded at all games? What does it say if Mitchell and wiebe could come into my living room and get their asses handed to them in a game of wcw revenge? What does it say if Mitchell destroys me at that chuck e cheese ping pong toss game? Both guys are chasing a score in a race with about 2 other people in the world. Not to mention that donkey kong isn't even about skill, it's about pattern memorization. Both guys are just card counters. Anyone can do it with proper memorization skills.

The Donkey Kong games are not pattern based, they have strong random elements that force you to rely only in skill.

Also keeping a pattern for hours is very hard. It's like sniping, you know? Just point and click.

I met him at a Costco here in South FL, when I spoke with him, all he wanted to talk about was his Hot Sauce.

Damn! 999,900!! Somebody has time to kill! I would like to find original arcade ports of DK & DK Jr. I wish Nintendo would add these to the Wii VC. All they have on there is the NES ports that I already own. I guess my only option are ROMs that I play off of MAME.
