BoringSupreez: The fact that most of the 360's best exclusives aren't really exclusives is the main reason I didn't get a 360. Why get a neutered version of Left 4 Dead or Mass Effect, when you can get the real thing with all the modding potential on a PC? Left 4 Dead without the Macho Man Randy Savage mod isn't Left 4 Dead at all.

Also, all those examples of bad multiplatform games on the PS3 are really old. The problem doesn't really happen much anymore, and even when a PS3 version is inferior, it isn't by much these days.

I dunno, maybe I'm the one that's twisted, but when I bought Earthworm Jim for the SNES, I didn't really care that it was inferior to the Genesis version. For me, the SNES had better exclusives anyway, so the fact that a few multiplatform games came out better on the Genesis didn't make much of a difference.

In much the same way, I don't really care if Bayonetta for the PS3 is inferior to the 360 - the PS3 still has much more unique exclusives in my eyes, so I'm not going to let a little slow down make me say "No, I'm not playing Bayonetta until I get an X360."

I just don't see why one would choose better multiplatform games at the expensive of fewer exclusives. I'd think the only reason X360 has more exclusives still is because they got such an early head start, with great games like Dead Rising and Earth Defense Force 2017 being exclusive simply because they couldn't be done on the PS2 or Gamecube. Looking to the future, the 360 looks barren. Splinter Cell: Conviction, Crack Down 2, Alan Wake and the newest iteration of Halo. Be still, my beating heart.

And no support from Valve. Lack of mouse, more expensive games and you have to pay if you want to play online!

I think the Wii is the best simply because I see no reason to have a PS3 or a 360, it's better to spend that money on your PC.

PD: Whoever thinks that Orange Box is a good port on the 360/PS3 has never played it. It has so many game breaking bugs it's not funny.

I hate fragile, shitty hardware, cookie cutter games, yearly sequels and DLC thats on the disk and this generation has been stuffed with it. Most games lack any real innovation or originality.

I agree. Games cost too much to develop and those willing to undertake major gameplay innovations either fail miserably or churn out a buggy product that most people don't bother with. The fact that the PS2 has 2000+ games with a decent margin of quality cannot be replicated this generation, no matter how long it lasts.

Indie can save the industry but personally speaking they don't have the budget to create jaw-dropping games the way "Evil Publishers" can afford, meaning perpetually modest sales.

The PS3 has more interesting exclusives but nothing to impress me enough to fork out for a system that is too similar to the 360. At least the Xbox had better graphics and decent PC ports

I have the Orange Box, and I beat portal and Half life 2. My biggest Problem with it is the loading times in Portal. Loading in genereal, but more so in portal because it broke the mood. Other than that, I have never come across any "game breaking" bugs. Nothing that made the game unplayable.

No offense the7k, but you are selling the 360 way short. There are a lot of great 360 only games (that are actually exclusive), and the 360's future is not nearly as bleak as you say. I know you're enjoying your PS3, but maybe lay off the Sony juice just a tad.

Honestly both the 360 and PS3 have a solid library, although 360's is more robust. It's all a matter of which exclusives appeal to each gamer specifically.

That's because there ARE no game breaking bugs. I've played through it too just fine. This kind of sounds like your run of the mill PC elitism. Mass Effect was not neutured. It was a 360 game that was ported to the PC with some improvements. Sure, it's better, but only marginally(why do PC gamers exagerrate minor things) and calling the 360 version neutured makes it sound like it was a crappy port when it wasn't a port at all.

Mods are cool I guess, but I've never understood the appeal. I'd rather just play new games than play mods, but PC gamers love them

Like mentioned in previous posts, I can not afford a PS3 or 360 the cost is too much and for just the price of the games my PC can handle any port like a champ. My PC plays Batman:AA and Ghostbusters with almost every setting maxed out (other than physx) So why spend on a console?

I guess Ill have to choose the Wii because I own it and the few games I have for it I enjoy and have gotten lots of replay from - NSMB, Galaxy, WarioLand, Zack and Wiki, Twilight Princess, Punch Out, and dont forget about the Rebirth games on WiiWare.

I'll tell you why. Because I don't have $900 for a new PC just lying around. The newest game my PC can handle is COD 4 on lowest settings, so I have to get most games for consoles until PCs that can run the games that are new right now have become old and cheap. Once that happens, I sell my console version and get the PC version.

It did happen, though, to the Orange Box especially, which really stinks. One of the best games ever being noticeably inferior is not something I would just ignore because it came out 2 years ago.

You forgot Mass Effect 2, Gears of War 3, and Forza Motorsport 3. And not exclusively, the 360 will get Metal Gear Rising. And there is also Natal, which should be interesting.
