The Dark Knight lost points for not having Jack Nicholson as the Joker. Mark Hamil is so far the only other person to capture the essence of the Joker.

The Dark Knight lost points for not having Jack Nicholson as the Joker. Mark Hamil is so far the only other person to capture the essence of the Joker.

I see it going both ways as I thought that Ledger did a great performance when it came to capturing the Joker's depressed psychoanalytical mental state, but couldn't come close to portraying the Joker's outer madman.
