Don't forget Mod_Man in 05 they upgraded the light on the SP.


I think all you need is the brighter sp for all your GB, GBC,and GBA games And the new DSi for just DS games. For me either way I have to have two because I still want to play GB and GBC games backlit so taking off the GBA isn't that big a deal to me.

I like the bigger screen. My eye sight doesn't seem to get better with age. Good thing I haven't bought a DSi yet.

If you've seen some of my older posts you'd know quite well that I own a Graphite GBA SP+ and love the hell out of it, what I'm angry about is how Nintendo is releasing two models of the same machine within such a close period of time instead of launching them together or next year.

I am heistant to say I am going to replace my current DS with this one, mainly since 90% of what I play on my DS are GBA games or Arkanoid. But I will buy one so I can play FFCC, Pokemon Pearl, and Bangai-O with ease.

I agree with this. I only just now got a DS Lite and I hate the way the GBA games stick out of the bottom. I regret selling my GBA SP because now I can't play original GB titles on the DS. They are really two separate lines and I wish I would have considered that before selling my GBA.

After finally getting to play for hours with the DS Lite I think the new bigger DSi is very thoughful of them because my hands got cramped from playing on the Lite. I do not condone the higher price for the DSi but to have the choice of buying the model you need is nice. I just hate that they don't come up with this simple solutions the first time.
