Well, doing so is kind of the point of the thread. It's supposed to be about games that you hate that "Everyone Else Loves." So it pretty much has to be a popular game by definition. Maybe you should start another thread for hating on obscure games loved by hardcore gamers.Flak Beard wrote:You know, it's pretty easy to just instantly jump in with something like Halo or FFVII when it comes to topics like this.

I understand that, I just get sick of the canned answers. It's just a mob mentality versus another mob mentality. Halo and FFVII often get bashed because they are seen as being loved blindly, but coincidentally become hated blindly too.Limewater wrote:Well, doing so is kind of the point of the thread. Meh those are idiots. They are everywhere. Noticed those TFC guys who say "TF2 is a MMORPG because you have differente weapons"? They could be the same personfast wrote:Stuff about stupid whiny TF2 players..

Perhaps. I guess if I was going to college now I would be a big TF2 player. Its funny, I use to run with Silent Assassians and Sligtown, now few even know who those guys are.

It's actually that sort of way for a lot of the original Enemy Territory players. When Quake Wars came out a ton of people were thrilled about it but when they finally got to playing it they went right back to Wolfenstein. I agree with them (and you).fast wrote:Team Fortress 2

COD4.
Worst game I've played in the last 10 years easy (and I've played Sonic The Hedgehog for 360). Needlessly difficult, annoying AI, respawning enemies...

I am specifically talking about the genesis game from 1989 that for some odd reason has alot of claim. I have see videos of the arcade port and it is pretty much a perfect port graphically but it is horrible. Revenge of shinobi came out the same year is SOOO much better from a gameplay standpoint.Jrecee wrote:Which strider game? I thought there were a couple for genesis and it's a series that I can't keep straight (much like wonderboy). I had one where you started off in a forest and then went into a factory type area. I don't remember it being very good.
I also recently got one for nes that feels really buggy.

Well then by all means please enlighten us on why you don"t like Odin Sphere, Disgaea, Psychonuats and anything with "Shin Megami Tensai"in the title.
I have not played ffVII so I cant say I dont like it. But I have played halo1,2,and,3 granted not a long time , but if I have to force myself to keep playing it to get in to it what is the point. Would you read a whole novel just because a couple of parts are good or keep thinking that you might get into it? there are to many games out there that grab my attention right off the bat. Why waste time, I can never play ever game there is. And yes a game overly hyped sucking is a bigger let down then just one that isn't hyped. I have no expectations otherwise.
Where's my chippy? There's my chippy.
