It was a good trailer(and an interesting show). Just one question...did he do the voicework, or did you guys? I kept expecting him to say something like..."Duality ZF! Snap into a Slimjim! Oh yeah!"

He did the voice work. While not perfect, I think he did a decent job (better than what we would have done). We thought about hiring someone professional... maybe we will next time. :)

No release date yet, sorry. We're still revamping the boss weapon system, and making multi-stage enemies. We're thinking about releasing the game with the renaming of Community Games to Indie Games. We'll be talking to Microsoft about a possible promotion of our game with this update. If that happens, we'll have a concrete release date = end of summer. We'd use the extra time to further improve the game, perhaps add online multiplayer (no guarantee). None of this is for certain. Thanks for being patient.

Your move speed seems extremely fast. Is it selectable a la several Compile games, or is it by default just a very fast move speed?

Also, when the boss blows it it looks like the screen flashes white and all the bullets disappear. To me that feels a bit disorienting, as there's that split second where you aren't sure if you're about to run into a bullet or not.

We optimized the move speed to be the best for the best players. We could perhaps make it adjustable, but who would change it? And what if they change it to be too slow for how the game is designed? I'm not sure about that, but I'll think about it.

Also, whenever the screen disorients you... you cannot die. We remove anything that causes an unfair death (without telling you we do that so erase this from your memory!). :)

The fighter speed is very fast to give you a chance to react and move out of the way of bullets you didn't expect, something most shmups deny you of, which we've always found frustrating. We feel we've found just the right fighter speed. It's been optimized to smaller than 1 pixel/frame accuracy.

There is no option to change fighter speed, but it moves proportional to the thumbstick, so you can move slowly if you wish (although I know this is not the same as having its max speed lowered). Also, the fighter speed is slower in Bullet Hell mode to give finer control for navigating many more, but slower moving, bullets.

All boss deaths delete bullets to avoid death because you are disoriented during this time, but also to allow you to relax the moment you've conquered it. We feel this is a good reward. Besides, dying from leftover bullets after you've killed the boss is just horrible.

Wow, I am VERY impressed! I remember reading about this game a few months ago on another site, but I am happy to see that you guys post here! I am really looking forward to buying this game... I am addicted to shmups right now. :)
