Tales of Phantasia - on pause for a bit, I'm going back to it after I finish something else though. I'm going to have to pull up the map for fenir's cavern when I do go back, I was going in circles trying to get to Fenir. I've been trying my hardest not to use maps but bits like this and the Elven forest areas required it since these have been areas of just going in circles.

FF1 - got dawn of souls in the mail(along with sword of mana and the Japanese version of chain of memories) and I'm on mount gulg. So far so good. This is the point where my dual micro sd card and the battery died on my psp(I didn't see a low battery indicator on it last time) causing me to rage quit last time. Just trying to get out of the maze I'm in now on the second floor(?). Hoping to have this beat either tomorrow or Wednesday I hope.

Still debating on whether or not to go back to FF Adventure and do a dual run of both or just play Sword of mana(I'm not sure I'll get that new remake or not. I doubt it though seeing as I really prefer gba/snes level graphics on stuff like this).

Been powering through Paper Mario for N64 for the last week or two.

I'm at Lavalava Island now. I'm going for 100% completion, and I think I'm doing well so far.

I borrowed this game from a friend way back when and beat it, and that time I maxed out HP and FP as priorities. This time though, most of my points are going into BP - and I can see it breaking the game overall, as the benefits of 1 extra damage or 1 extra defence are not to be underestimated in this game. I have only upgraded my hp twice so far (giving me a total of 20, I had 10 at the start of the game) and I've not been in too much danger.

Sword of Mana is sort of a retelling of FFA; it makes a huge number of changes from a gameplay perspective (not to mention the ability to follow the Girl's story). So it's worthwhile to play both.

I dunno, I'm not sure Sword is that worthwhile... I much prefer FFA.

Also, the last remake is close enough to FFA that you probably won't need to partake unless you've just got a hankering to replay FFA like I did with a different spin. Which... kinda makes an argument for Sword, too, despite its flaws.

Dang it, am I about to play through Sword now?

I'm thinking about playing FFXV, though. Just expecting I'm going to feel quite a bit of open-world fatigue after MGSV.

That's the least of its issues. Good luck. :P

I honestly loved the first 20 or so hours of my time with it. But then it falls so hard on its face it breaks the planet into pieces. Second half made me hate it and then I realized XIII has more depth to its gameplay and combat system, which isn't saying much.
