It boggles my mind that Nintendo's supply issues are such that NA is nearly two waves behind UK, EU, and Asia. I maintain my theory that Nintendo had no clue that Amiibo would be this successful.

There was a quote or two that seemed to indicate that finally got the hint a month or two ago. We'll see what that actually means though. As I mentioned to someone before, Meta Knight is coming back in stock soon so that is a good sign. I just don't know if they really can process from on high just how frustrating it can be to track down your favorites, and how dangerously close a lot of people are getting to giving up.

I mean, so far there have been two opportunities to get Greninja in the entire United States: a five minute window to order online at 4AM EST on a weekday, or you could've lined up early at Toys R Us on yet another weekday and MAYBE get him. That's ridiculous.

I gave up. Until I just walk into a store one day and see it sitting there, or the fad of scalping the things dies off and the values plummet back to at/below retail I just don't want to care anymore. It's just bad luck the 8/16bit mascot characters I want for my desk I enjoyed as a kid are the ones being run up badly. Lil Mac, Pit, Captain Falcon, Fox, is just sucks.

I was also going to buy Shulk for the Xenoblade perks, but I'm into the eryll? sea which is 1/2 through or a little more, so that I'm not wasting money on now either so that's a loss whether they get their crap sorted out or not. Maybe I'll find Pac-Man in a store at some point, but around here I've also noticed that the Gamestops, Targets, Meijer and the others have stopped carrying most of them and are sticking to just the most popular/mass produced ones Nintendo does around Mario characters and that's about it.

Got any links? I'm an admitted and horribly biased Nintendo fanboy. I have found ways to excuse and backup pretty much all of their decisions. Only a few shreds of pride keep me from writing fanfiction about a world where the Virtual Boy gained majority marketshare.

Even I cannot come up with an apologist theory that explains how Nintendo so massive underestimated the needed supply for Amiibo. They are leaving so much money on the table every day they don't drastically increase supply.

This link has the gist of it, albeit in canned PR form. Iwata or whoever (not up on all the names) was quoted somewhere else to the effect of "We had no idea Amiibo would be so popular, so we are currently working to meet demand and put them in as many fans' hands as possible."

you should be able to come across those pretty easily. robin, lucina, and maybe silver Mario will be the quickest to go.

got an order in for 2 silver marios from walmart.com. plan on opening one and keeping another sealed next to a gold Mario. my orders from gamestop have shipped (the 6pk and 3pk splatoon). getting ready to head to target to try to get jigglypuff and hoping my preorder holds for greninja.
