Same here! I also heard that the PS4 is only coming with a HDMI cable. Some folks were pissed about this and can't find a converter for their TV (Yes, some still don't have a HDTV). I'm curious on how this will play out.

Very true Ryan. By the time I get some games after work today, I'm sure 100 other people will have answered. LOL. The PSN games I played loaded quickly. But in all honesty, weren't anything better than what I've come to expect from PS3.

The controller is pretty awesome though. The speaker on it is SUPER loud. Resogun says things through it, and it startled the crap out of me at 1am. LOL. I never really had any issues with the old controller though, but the new does feel like an upgrade. The triggers "feel" better than the old controller, but kind of thin and cheap. I like the big beefy Xbox triggers. But the analog sticks are a huge improvement. I miss the start and select buttons. The share and option buttons are in a weird place, and I find myself accidentally hitting the "touch button" when trying to find the other buttons without looking. Gonna take some getting used to.

Sony also redesigned the way that you type in text with the controller. I HATE this!!! I've gotten so used to entering text the old way with my PS3 and PSP etc, that the new way is all over the place. They didn't keep the buttons the same for certain text functions. Oh well. Like instead of pressing START to enter your text, you now press R2. Weird.

Truth. There really isn't much in the box. Even if Sony had a component (or even composite) cable, there is no place to plug it in on the back of the unit.

Reminds me of when I first tried watching DVDs/Blu Rays on the PS3. I'd pretty much memorized using the PS2 controller for all the typical DVD functions, but the PS3 maps it all differently, so it threw me way off.

Well, my complaint isn't due to the cost of the system, but the lack of decent launch titles. If they had offered a FF7 remake as a launch title, I would have been right there camping out with those fanboys. As it stands, is there really anything there for games that are must buy, day one titles?
Killzone 2, 3, and Vita were all day 1 purchases for me. Shadowfall is my most anticipated game of this season, I think, aside from the 3DS Zelda.
A fourth or fifth sequel to another FPS? No thanks, there are about a million to choose from already for the PS3/360.
Pfft! Super Mario World?! Please. There's only like a million platformers to choose from on the NES and SMS and it's just a 4th or 5th game in a series.

Pfft! SSX? No thanks, I've had my fill of "xtreme sports" and snowboarding with the zillion other games in this genre.

Pfft! Daytona USA? There are like million racing games out already and besides the genre just screams "play in the arcade" to me and couldn't be much fun with a controller.

At this point in the game, it's not at all unreasonable for Sony to expect all PS4 users to have an HDTV. They're extremely cheap nowadays anyway.

Personally I'm kinda glad to see a console finally ship with the best possible video output as the "default" option.

I'm just glad that it came with a cable. I'm getting tired of buying those damn things. LOL.
