And? AND?!?!?!? Dying for this game, but I probably won't play until next year sometime.Gamerforlife wrote:Batman Arkham City
I love amazon.com and that Collector's Edition is totally worth the money! I rarely every buy these types of things. The only other collector's edition I have for this gen is Deathsmiles, but this one is great. The plastic cover that you can put over the whole thing is the icing on the cake. Other collector's editions should do that

Let strength be granted, so the world might be mended...so the world might be mended.

I'm playing Zelda: Majora's Mask.
I beat the Water Temple and finished a couple prerequisite side-quests before I can get to the last temple.
That Water Temple sucked. I did not enjoy it at all. Maybe the next one will be better.

LOL! that was the reason why I never finished Majora's Mask. I didn't have a guide or access to internet at the time so I just said fug it.

A guide isn't really necessary unless you want to get absolutely everything. The only thing that makes the game difficult is the amount of backtracking that you have to do.
Re: What are you playing?
I finished Arkham City just now. The end boss was easy for Batman, for Catwoman it was rather hard, but required a logical approach due to respawning baddies (ehhh). The one fight that gave me the MOST trouble was the Joker brawl when you visit the steel mill the second time - Christ, never been hit by so many off-screen attacks, and there are FOUR different things in that particular fight that can hit you from off-screen (thrown boxes, hammer guy lunges, the charging berserker and the rollercoasters). They really should've added a sound cue for enemies about to throw things and the hammer guy before he lunges - I always seemed to get hit by him without seeing it coming, the camera wasn't working with me in that fight, either.
Overall, the game is really good, not sure if I liked it more than Asylum due to the sandbox mechanics - but the locales are varied enough and the core gameplay is the same.
Next up is Trine 2, Deus Ex Human Revolution, Beyond Good & Evil and possibly the Half-Life series - though I'm not sure how well it's held up over the years.

Re: What are you playing?
Nah, but I didn't know that thread existed. I haven't really "beaten" it until I've finished all the side missions and stuff, I'm still going at it right now. Just wanted to add my 2 cents because there are a few people here talking about it.
Re: What are you playing?
I was going to pick Donkey Kong Country Returns back up but the Wii is out for repairs. I was going to play some Skyrim but I own the PS3 version and my save file is 8mb so...
Debating between Kirby Air Ride or Star Fox Assault. Any opinions?

Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Starfox assault! Honestly, I wasn't a big fan of Air Ride.

I'm playing Mario Galaxy. Damn, I don't think I've ever had this much fun with a 3D platformer.
