Snickerd00dle wrote:Alright a quick update- am am 99% through Banjo Kazooie- this is largely in part to the fact that I played through a lot of it as a child so I remember most everything (going for 100%) completion on it though, I love the game- I will review when I finish the final boss

Don't know how far I am in Donkey Kong Country but the mother fucking Ice World or whatever is making me reallly mad, I found the shortcut in the first level, but I am low on lives by the time I make it to the second level- I guess there isn't a save point for a little bit

About 45% through Secret of Mana, playing it weekly with three friends, it has been quite fun

that is where I stand right now as far as what I have done so far- going pretty well I'd say :)

I played through BK so many times as a kid, and I finally 100%ed the XBLA version last summer. The only thing I have yet to do are the infuriating "Bottles Puzzles" in Banjo's house.

Also, I have postponed Skies of Arcadia so I can re-start my playthrough of Final Fantasy VII. I'm really getting through a lot of big RPGs this year!

I've been stuck on the ice world since I was eight years old. I love DKC but I can never get passed that level. Makes me so mad I haven't touched it at all this year. I normally try to beat that world about once a year and still no luck

My summer list is offically half finished. Beat FFXII tonight. The last few bosses were fairly easy compared to what I faced mid-game. After a certain peak they just seemed to get easier and easier. The last level was kind of a disapointment after that huge tower. It was literally two short screens followed by several boss fights. It was a HUGE warship so I was expecting to spend some time exploring it.

Overall the game was above my expectations, which were quite low going in, but its still one of my least favorite in the series and just a mediocre RPG in general. I would have started FFVIII tonight, but I forgot to bring a PS memory card with me. Tomorrow then....

Half way through your list after only 3 weeks? That is impressive, sir. You know the summer goes until September, right?

Finished off Broken Sword last night. I remember now why I never finished it before - my old copy always gave out at the train. Exceptional game - even if the Directors Cut had a useless beginning part that ruined the opening.

Now on to Dragons Lair.
Done:
- Chrono Trigger
- N+
- Broken Sword

Todo:
- Legend of Zelda - No Sword playthrough
- Planescape Torment - Looks like my recent cleaning of my pc might have 86ed my save game.
- Secret of Mana
- Rayman
- Dragons Lair
- Company of Heroes
- Professor Layton Undowund Future - My copy decided to stop working - VERY upset about this
- Witcher

I didn't finish it because of the sonofabitch GBA glitch that makes the game un-finishable if you hit it. :? But I'm on the lookout for the PS1 port these days.

I played more of the Toxic level of Duke Nukem last night. I was able to shrink down, go through the ducts to unlock that door, but after that I sort of found I had walked in a big circle. Hmm. I may have to check a walkthrough...

Yeah the Spain glitch. It got me too when I played the GBA version. I think I have both of the PSX ports - I know I have II, I think I have I. Remind me to look for it later.

I live quite far up north so summer seems a lot shorter here :P

In addition to my Summer Gaming list I've also platinumed Mirror's Edge (PS3) and Soni'c Ultimate Gem Collection (PS3), All trophies on Sonic 2 (PS3) most or the trophies on Streets of Rage 2 (PS3) and Magic The Gathering DOTP 2011 (PS3) beat Twisted Metal 2 (PS) 5 starred all but 2 songs on Guitar Hero Metallica (Wii) and played several games of Smash Bros Brawl (Wii) and Mario Kart Double Dash (GCN) with my nephews. My job is basically my dream job since it allows me A LOT of time to game.

Started some Sin & Punishment this morning and got to stage 4. Really awesome stuff so far. Level 2 is my favorite, there is just so much stuff going on. Tons of fun. I regret putting off playing this for so long. Ran into an annoying boss part way through stage 3 that took several attempts to defeat. Cant wait to get some more time to play tomorrow.

Also started FFVIII tonight and quickly remembered why I didnt get very far before. Its sooooooo boring. Someone please tell me it picks up soon. I dont fully understand the Juction system yet either. Hopefully I can figure it out more as I progress.

I was originally planning on starting Vay this week while my family was gone, but instead decided to do some things around the house that have been neglected. Becuase of that I've had very little time for gaming while I'm at home. Have a guy coming over tomorrow to fix a crack in our foundation, but after that is done hopefully I'll have some time to sit down finally. If I have a bunch of time I'll probably start Vay, but if I've only got an hour or so I'll just keep plugging away at Sin & Punishment.

Zipping in to say I finally got off my ass to work on the list.

I haven't played any of the games on my list since I finished Galaxy 2, but I've been playing Super Metroid and I'm happy to report that I'm enjoying it quite a bit.

I was expecting to be bored since it didn't suck me in the first time I tried it years ago. I'm glad that's not the case this time.

Anyway, I just got the Gravity Suit. I have no idea how close to the end that is, so anybody got a ballpark for me on that?

For the rest of my list, since I've only played 3 of the 10 games so far, I may still change the other 7. I'm not very enthused to play some of them right now (can you tell, with my procrastinating?) and I've been remembering other games I've been meaning to play. I guess we'll see.

Ok since I've only played one game on my summer list since I made it I am going to change it. Here is the revamped yet similar list:

1. Batman Arkham Asylum
- Friday night I rescued Dr. Young and am heading to the Warden's office to confront Harley Quin

2. Rayman
- I will start this one next month with the TR crew.

3. Zelda: A Link to the Past
- I have this for the SNES and yesterday got it for the GBA. Since picking up the GBA port I have played multiple short bursts of the game and will continue for the rest of the summer until I beat it. This game belongs on this list because I call myself a "retro gamer" and have not yet beat this classic.

4&5. Ben There, Dan That & Time Gentlemen Please.
- I got these games when I first got steam and put about 3 hours into BTDT. Since then I wiped my HD and will play these games again and beat them before the school year start.

May play the following games if I have beat the above 5 games:
Sonic Colors
Metroid Other M
Green Lantern Rise of the Manhunters

Games that I will be using to waste time to have fun and will probably not beat them this summer:
Marvel Vs Capcom 2
Phantasy Star IV
Chrono Trigger
