It doesn't get much more 'budget' than that.

Playing the KoF XIII is really fun, I might just buy KoF XIII over SSFIV.
Other news, seller emailed me that he didn't ship the fightpad until today

So - can I ask a Kof ps2 question in here? I picked up XI for around 6 bucks but how do the other stand alone kof titles rate on the ps2?
I have the Oriachi set already.

More or less arcade perfect, all around. Some, like KoF' 98 on PS2 are the definitive version of the particular title. There is even an import only re-make of KoF 94 that is supposed to be an impressive, though flawed, nod to the original game.retrosportsgamer wrote:Agreed.CD AGES wrote:That netplay patch news is a lot more enthusiastic...

The KoF Maximum Impact games (Maximum Impact and KoF 2006) are what you make of them. They do not hold a candle to a real KoF title but they are fun and have a lot of neat features like character customization.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

I have 98 on PS2 and it's really impressive.
ANYWAY -- what do you guys think of 7k's idea? Playing the demo of KOFXIII with only 6 characters to choose from. On one hand, it is free. On the other, we have no shortage of other games to choose from for the months until XIII price drops.

Will the demo play with the actual game? Sevin and I have KoF XIII, already.noiseredux wrote:I have 98 on PS2 and it's really impressive.

not sure...
^does that mean you can only pick from one of two teams? Meaning, you don't pick 3 characters you just pick one team? The demo, which is now available on Xbox LIVE Marketplace (initially only for Gold members) and will release for PlayStation Network on 12/13, offers fans two teams–Team K’ (K’, Kula, Maxima) and Team Fatal Fury (Terry, Andy, Joe)–and two stages (London, Airship), showing off the game’s breathtaking artwork and providing ample proof that KOF XIII is the best playing game in the 15-plus year history of the series. In addition to its generous roster, the demo also offers online play, giving fans an opportunity to try the demo with friends around the country.

Probably not. With only a couple exceptions, there have been official "teams" in every single KoF, but KoF 94 was the only game where you could not choose your own team.noiseredux wrote:not sure...

It'd be weird for the demo to shoehorn you into a specific team since there is only one mode on the actual game that does that, the story mode.

Re: Thurs Night Budget PS3 Fight Club -- 12/15 SSF4
ok. How many characters are there total? Having played the full game, do you think those 6 would supply enough fun for us all for a night? Like I said, I'm not really against the demo. But seeing as how we have a big list of full games to pick from, just seeing if y'all think it's worth playing a demo instead.
