Watched CAP again, this time with my wife who enjoyed the movie, and made the movie experience much more fun. I got to point out things such as lines Whedon wrote, who Dum Dum was, and also "don't get too attached to Bucky" and explained why.

But she made it clear that the idea of an experiment was clear, but that why and how they did it wasn't explained at all. I'm not sure the words "super serum" are even in the movie. All I do know is that my said, "Is that some type of super sexy capsule?" which still cracks me up.

Still, the Red Skull was just a wasted character. Hugo's accents are all over the place, and he doesn't seem evil at all. He kills Nazi's and wants order in the world. Captain America kills probably 100 guys in the movie, and wants order in the world.

The past week I've seen True Grit (to those talking about "reboots" and "unnecessary endings" read the book from which the movie was based on... it wasn't a "remake" or "reboot" of the old movie) which I quite enjoyed, along with Videodrome (Blu-ray) which is a classic & Outlander (Blu-ray) which I liked a lot more than I would have imagined... considering I really dislike CGI. Last night I watched The Human Centipede: First Sequence which wasn't very good, but it was much better than I expected, no crappy hand held camera work or silly stuff... they actually played it pretty straight. Unexpected.

Up next for me: Cronos, Source Code & Repulsion.

Why did you spoil that bucky dies for her?

I agree about the experiment. They never really seemed to clarify to the soldiers or steve what exactly they were planning (that I noticed anyway). I mean if you had seen a trailer you pretty much knew what to expect, but it just sort of happened.

Watched Hobo with a shotgun

I can see why this went straight to dvd and Machete went to the big screen.

It has fun parts, but its all over the place, and a good bit of it makes no sense.

After a while you wonder what the point of any of it is.

Hauer is the best part of the movie though, he was obviously way into this move and just going nuts on screen.
