I'm starting to play DKCR too, on 3DS. One thing that's really throwing me off on the controls is the way you float when you hold down the jump button with Diddy on your back; it messes up the entire jumping higher off enemies move, because you have to hold down the jump button for that, too.

DKCR is probably the best game I've played on the Wii.

DKC Returns is great. One of the better platformers on a console full of them.

I'd say it was the 2nd best Wii game I played.

DKCR had a lot of flaws that were only exacerbated by the Wii control scheme. If you've played the first 3 levels you may wonder why people are down on that game...if you've finished and still think it's one of the best Wii games...you're crazy.

Well, what are the flaws?

I completed the game, and all bonus levels. I never once struggled with the controls.

Do you all have weak wrists or something?

I know a lot of people complain about the "waggle" controls or what ever. But if I can recall, don't you only wiggle when you want to roll? Felt pretty fluent to me.

The only other motion I can remember is when he does the ground and pound to check for secrets.
