Attend f2f classes when possible; online degrees (outside of the IT field) are the GED of HS diplomas.

I thought the GED was the GED of HS diplomas?
You know what he means. Online degrees aren't exactly top-shelf.

I'm not talking about an online degree, just online classes (most of the classes required for the degree do meet in person). And it is for the IT field.

Funny about the IT thing.
But a question you'll more than likely hear during an interview concerning your education will be "What percentage of classes would you say you took online?".
It means a lot to employers to know that you can work with people in a real life structured setting. It's difficult to portray yourself as a team leader/prove you have better than average social skills/presentation skills/leadership skills/bo-staff skills blah blah blah...you get what I'm saying.
SMILE: My new full-time job working with one specific special needs child starts Monday. It's going to be challenging (he's apparently quite a handful) but it will be great experience. My background in media arts, and background in school environments my also be merging in some ways I never expected in the next couple of years, so I'm pretty excited to start working towards that as well.
SAD: I'm really going to miss all the young kids I work with now. It might sound silly but they've really done a lot to change my outlook on life for the better. They said most of their goodbyes and gave me a card they all signed and wrote messages/drew on/etc. Fortunately the private school I'm going to has different days off than the public schools so I'll be able to drop by and visit them every once in a while.

That's awesome, Cz. It is always great to see someone excited and passionate about their work and possibilities for the future. Congrats!
