So I just re-bought a game I bought once, and got rid of because it was shitty.

I got Spartan: Total Warrior for PS2. I think I used to own it on Xbox and I got rid of it because I didn't like how incredibly generic it was. I got it (again) because I heard it was by the same creative team that made Viking: Battle For Asgard, which I liked a lot.

But soon as I popped the disc in my PS2, everything felt familiar. And as soon as I starting playing it, I was like, "Yep, I remember now, this sucked."

Anyone else ever done this before?

Yes, Morrowind. Bought it for oXbox years ago, didn't like it at all. Bought it again last year for PC because the internet kept insisting it's an amazing game. I still don't like it.

Oddly enough, I did love Oblivion though.

Oblivion > Skyrim > Morrowind

I don't care for the first two games at all.

Agreed. Oblivion was the best. Morrowind was the weakest. But Morrowind was pretty awesome when it came out, at the time. I haven't played Daggerfall or Arena to be able to agree with you on that point, though.

That Elder Scrolls Anthology looks cool but I have my doubts it will ever come down in price.

Hasn't it already? Original MSRP was like $80, usually $60 now... I bought it for $25 during an Amazon sale.

Really? I played Oblivion but I didn't want to get into Skyrim because I do not want to lose another 100+ hours of my life in another game, but everyone says Skyrim beats Oblivion in every way.

My best friend has a small pile of SNES games at his house. Next to the SNES that I gave him probably... 5+ years ago now, which he took apart with the intent to paint (due to the yellowing) and has never put back together. I was browsing them the other day when waiting for him to get home (we have keys to each other's house, I beat him to his place by like 20 minutes). I have almost all of them. Except one --

Ogre Battle: March of the Black Queen.

Oh god how I want to just straight-up jack it from him. And I would be completely obvious too, I would walk over to his games when he was in the room and be like "HEY LOOK, A DISTRACTION!" and point in another direction as I go "Yoink!" (literally, say yoink out loud) and pocket it. I'm like 90% certain he'd be completely fine with it, considering he's offered to give me the .hack series (he has it all) when I noticed it sitting on his shelf and he said he didn't like it...

^ Together RPG is a perfect excuse to borrow it.

You'll only have to return it after dodging/ignoring multiple requests to do so.
