Grilled out last night. Medium rare burgers topped with grilled poblano peppers, horseradish cheese, on a poppy seed bun. One of the juiciest burgers I've had in years.

Brown shrimp with avocado, cherry tomatoes and a hint of curry powder.

Bought the avocado in a small African shop and I must say, it's the best avocado I ever had. Huge mother, soft yet firm, and heavenly taste. I'll never buy an avocado in a local supermarket ever again. What a difference!...

Haas, hall, choquette?

I'm an avocado fiend. I probably eat two a week, sprinkled with a bit of Adobo seasoning.

It's about time I make the menu for the week.

No friggin' idea...

Big, green semi-smooth skin turning black, shape like a mango, totally black huge nut...

From the looks of it, I'd say Ryan...

I'll see if I can find out next time I buy one.

Didn't even know there were that many varieties until you asked...

Yeah, I'd like to know what you got. Haas avocados are the ones about the size of a small fist, really rough skin, and the meat is heavy on flavor. I don't think that is what you got. However if you did get a huge haas avocado, I'm extremely jealous.

Nice.

Reminds me of grad school. There was only one "MBA Computer Lab" at my University, where you had to swipe an id to enter. The place was always packed, and usually the PC's were occupied. However, if you brought in a pack of tuna and had a snack, you could almost clear the entire place out in minutes.

Last night was meatloaf patties with pan gravy, brown rice, and pressure-cooked green beans. Tonight: Pad Thai.
