Im 19,
i have a fiendish addiction to collection hardcore punk records (anything from 1977 - 1989), i run a Punk record label/zine/distro called Filth N' Fury. i play in two bands Social Sickness (singer) and Thieves of Baghdad (guitar). i hate pretty much all types of music except punk and old school rap, i do enjoy the occasional VG soundtrack (streets of rage 2 and sonic adventure 2 LOL). I like drawiing i do a lot of artwork for punk bands. I also do a lot of web dev. PIZZA RULES OK?!
i'd say that 2D fighters, and FPS are my favorite type of games, Hockey games also rule.

Re: New Members: Introduce Yourself!
I was pointed here by a fellow member and Sega fan. I have most every Sega console but have a weak spot for the PC Engine and anything decidedly retro. So ummmm... Hello

Re: New Members: Introduce Yourself!
Greetings!
I found my way here when I started digging my treasure hoard from the attic. What does this site and my attic have in common? Of course it's the systems/games I've been collecting for donkey's years. I got way from gaming when I started playing FPS online in a clan which is still running today. As the games started to phase from 2d to 3d (and some terrible attempts in between before I felt they started to consistently get it right) I just purchased less and less. Well, long story short, I've gotten all of my systems up and running. Started looking for some games I've missed and some mod chips to play Japanese games if I don't have already. I've been gaming since the days of Atari 2600 and the free pong consoles in the early 80's. I had all but quit playing, with the exception of a few games like PSO, Final Fantasy games, Dragon Quest VIII etc.
So, here I am.. looking to buy a few items from Racketboy's store. I've sent a PM and email about a MOD chip/Ram Cart for a Saturn but the last bit of information I see here on the MOD chip was I think in 2005 or 2006. Anyway, hope to fill in some of the missing gaps form my collection at hand. I'm a HUGE shooter fan. Not sure why everyone calls it 'shmup' these last few years... I guess everyone has to rebrand something every so often. Whatever. Anyway, that's why I'm here.
Look forward to being a member here,
-Mordi

You can call me "Fox"
I am 21 and an engineer. I travel the country when I am not in school (its my last semster by the way). Ive been on these boards for months now and thought I would say hi. I really enjoy the SNES, Dreamcast and PS2. I am a huge RPG fan, though i find my time commitment to games to be less than that to my work. Look forward to talking with everyone more!

Re: New Members: Introduce Yourself!
Haldo!
I'm around the same age as most of the rest of the folks here, and one of the reasons I so enjoy poking around these forums is because I miss the gaming conversations I used to have all the time at college...
Aside from the Atari 2600 I once had, I've always been a tried-and-true Nintendo gamer, but I pine for the days when I didn't have to wrap a stylus around my thumb or wag around a Wiimote to play Metroid. I'm also an aficionado of PC games, especially vintage ones.
I am more than anything else a platformer guy, harboring a great respect for Prince of Persia and Jetpack, greatly enjoying the Metroid series, and cherishing the Mega Man series above all else. I'm an adventure game enthusiast (Monkey Island and Space Quest especially); I'm a lover of FPS games on the PC such as the Jedi Knight and No One Lives Forever series, and I'm a rather excellent shot but can't aim to save my soul on a console; and I'm a guy who expects too much out of RPGs these days because the bar was set too high for me by Chrono Trigger, Super Mario RPG, EarthBound, Knights of the Old Republic, as well as the original Dragon Warrior and Final Fantasy.
On my computer I've got the entire soundtrack to just about every game I've ever owned or played for any significant amount of time, and I make it a point every few years to play straight through the entire Mega Man Classic series in a day. I've also got a homebrew Super Mario World that's been in various stages of "almost complete" for longer than I care to admit because I'm a perfectionist and always want to tweak it just a bit more before officially releasing it.
I also work full time, sing in a church choir, write creatively, co-author and shamelessly promote a blog (see the link in my signature), watch anime, and occasionally play Dungeons & Dragons.
I apologize for my penchant for pontificating; I pen such ponderous posts not to be pompous but because unrestricted rambling is cathartic... and I just can't communicate concisely.
