I think it is a strongly encouraged preference (if not an actual requirement) from some retailers like Wal-Mart to carry 2 or 3 languages on packaging. It simplifies distribution to stores that may cater to several markets/cultures. I'm in TX so it makes just as much sense to have Spanish on the package as it does to have French Canadian further north.

Whenever I get packaging with multiple languages, its always in English and French, and usually applies to games that were released in the same packaging in the US and Canada.

I just watched a video on a computer called Sharp X68000 released in Japan that had a CPU of 10MHz . Its very amazing to me what they could do with such low specs. Many of the games on the system are more engaging, entertaining, and control better than many games released on the smartphones that are are like 1000X faster.

This made me want to check the MHz on a SNES which was like 3.55 MHz and 128k RAM ! Yet it produced games that look as beautiful as this :

This proves that game design (or any product design) is not related to Specs . Its kind of like the rule with photographers "The best camera is the one you have with you ".

So a guy at my work is trying to tell me that a sega dreamcast was nothing more than a glorified ps1. He is ststing that since alot of dreamcast games were ports that also went to the ps1. Like legacy of kain, capcom vs snk, mvc, shadow man, ready to rumble, etc. I told him he was out of his freaking mind. They were two different systems which has both great games.

The guy obviously doesn't know about a lot of the Dreamcast-exclusive games, many of them arcade ports.

He thinks just because the ps1 came out with the same games that the dreamcast was copying the ps1. Grant it the same games did come out but how are you going to compare mvc and Capcom vs snk or kof 99 between both systems? I think they are both great systems but try to play the ps1 now with some games. A lot of those games dont hold well today but the dreamcast games do hold well today

You can't go wrong with a port that was made using the same identical arcade hardware as the original. Games like Crazy Taxi, Power Stone, and many others for example.
