As I've learned with the TGCD 3.0 card; sometimes you gotta break a few eggs to make an omelet. Shit is expensive.

Yes, EverDrive64: http://krikzz.com/ed64.html and NEO N64 Myth Cart: http://www.ic2005.com/shop/product.php?productid=115 (which i don't recommend).harper wrote:Seriously.s1mplehumar wrote:Why is 64drive $200?! Do you know of any alternative devices, sevin?
it's not as good as 64drive though IMO. the 64drive is more polished and has more features.

Even though I don't own any of the mentioned N64 flash carts, I would get the 64 Drive hands down. After the research I did on them all, the 64 Drive is in first place, the Everdrive 64 is a little behind in second, and the NeoMyth is a distant third.
But yes, it does really suck that it's $200. I really wanna pick one up, but I haven't had the $200 to drop on it yet. Well, I would get the PCB-only version since I have the ability to solder in the CIC chip and whatnot, so I can save a little there. But still, a lot of money.

Through the job itself or outside of it? During the day, yeah we're on our feet keeping busy. Lots of overtime (the way our system works, we have X amount of orders that have to be filled for the day, sometimes have to stay late). I've already learned just about everything in my department, including this sorter/error position some of us rotate on... I'd guess that was some initiative there and impressed my boss when I had my quarter review recently.gtmtnbiker wrote:Is your current job keeping you 100% busy? If not, volunteer for extra work/duties. That sort of initiative will get you promoted.
Complaining about a job after 4 months is not going to get you anywhere. You should be in a job for a minimum of 1-2 years before trying to transfer.
Like I said I don't want to really complain, it's just this field in general. I worked for another warehouse pharmacy in 2009 full time for a whole year and so with that experience I was able to pickup on everything really fast. Just some minor differences around, but what I'm doing is basically the same. I needed anything I could get though for now. There was a crap ton of overtime at my old job too, I'm guessing it's just warehouse work in general at this point, or pharmacies that push that a lot.
It might not be a huge deal to transfer though, we keep growing and expanding and sounds like people switch around a lot. Honestly the entire place is pretty unprofessional, lol, it's a weird environment.
I think I plan to take some classes again next semester though while I stay at this place, that should hopefully make things interesting again.
Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
I talked my boss down to a 5% pay cut. Still not too happy about that, but I should make up for it when they redraw longer routes in the next month or so. My initial supposition was that the contract was non-negotiable because my boss raised the question of our resignation and new interviews himself, but I'm glad I pushed him on it. Since I'm a fairly recent hire I thought it was unfair I was getting grandfathered in to supply costs that weren't in my original contract, which would have equaled about $10 per week (on top of gas and taxes.) I'll still probably quit around mid-May.

Smile: Chapter 18 in Kid Icarus Uprising might just be the most fun I've had in a video game in... a while.

Smile: Got to teach about video games last night and had a room full of students playing Doom, talking about games, and generally thinking about the medium in a new way.
Ticked: A lot to do before I leave for PAX East on Friday morning and not enough time to do it!
