Woolly World is more of a sequel to Kirby's Epic Yarn rather than Yoshi's Island.

I mean, yes, but it plays pretty much exactly like Yoshi's Island. I don't know if I'd argue it is 'more' of a sequel to Epic Yarn than Yoshi's Island. It's both.Exhuminator wrote:Woolly World is more of a sequel to Kirby's Epic Yarn rather than Yoshi's Island.

It looks like Epic Yarn, but it definitely plays like Island. It's probably the best thing that's come out in the series since that game.

Then you kind of miss the entire point of sailing don't you?Exhuminator wrote:I think the sailing is pretty fucking lazy in and of itself actually. I bet Wind Waker is the most popular object of discussion in this entire thread.
I will agree with Xenograd, Phantam Hourglass is f'ing awful. I HAD to get rid of it just to feel happy with the purchase it was that bad. Having to consistently always re-run back from one place to the start to re-do the rehash timed dungeon from the 10th level of boredom hell + one level deeper. AGH. I tolerated that game for a few hours and got fed up with it.
I have to say though the only handheld Zelda I've found very good have been Links Awakening DX and Minish Cap. The other crap from Capcom is overly linear boring tripe with overkill levels of backtracking not just in the world but dungeons too making them tedious boring annoyances. The only Zelda game I've despised more than those would be that abortion known as Majora's Mask that should have never been made. I don't even want to go down that rabbit hole again as it'll just start up some polarizing bitchfest between people I don't want to engage in. I've retried that game on 3 different carts years apart and age hasn't helped it one bit (or hurt though.) The asinine useless time adding fetch quests, to the management of time before you can set it back, the lack of dungeons, etc. Twilight though takes a close second with those annoying long stretches of boredom, some of the darkness sequences and the general lack of stuff to do in places as it's too wide spread and open (sparse) for its own good (still have it though on GC.)
Just to throw it in there, I've never liked Yoshi's Island the series on the whole yet I've tried them all but the DS one. Pre-internet and not having a magazine at the time I bought the LIE that was Super Mario World 2 and was angry, disappointed, and headachy (baby crying) going into it. To this day I've never finished the game yet I do own it. The n64 one I grabbed, a toddler could finish it in 30min or less. The DS title I saw nothing nice said about it, and I got the 3DS one for 1/2 off and ended up disliking it a lot within a couple of hours. I don't see the appeal at all, and no I'm not picking on it's crayola environment as that's about the only endearing thing about it as it's different.

The Dreamcast is fragile, too loud, has a terribly uncomfortable controller that needed a second analog stick and most of its best games have been ported elsewhere.Exhuminator wrote:The only way to get banned from Racketboy is to criticize the Dreamcast.LensOfTruth wrote:Since I didn't get banned or warned
I still like it though.

I agree it's way too loud and the controller wasn't the best idea. But the Dreamcast still has some really killer exclusives IMO.Gunstar Green wrote:The Dreamcast is fragile, too loud, has a terribly uncomfortable controller that needed a second analog stick and most of its best games have been ported elsewhere.

Yes, Tech Romancer alone is a reason for me to never get rid of it.Exhuminator wrote:I agree it's way too loud and the controller wasn't the best idea. Also needed less tension on the top buttons, got painful holding them down after awhile of doing some Crazy Taxi.Exhuminator wrote:I agree it's way too loud and the controller wasn't the best idea.
