You pushed me to about Wave 18 or so. Tim McVey (world record holder on tournament and marathon settings) pushed me this far. And I'm still going up.ExedExes wrote:NOOO NOT NIBBLERYoshiEgg25 wrote:Smile: I'm getting really good at Nibbler.
I recorded this attempt and if I send it in, I'll be sixth all time for marathon settings and third for tournament settings (scored 213,490 in my first five men).
But I can do better.
I thought I was in the wrong thread -- I'm glad that week of competition is over here.
If I pushed you to get all the way to wave 30 then I guess I did my job

Smile: Our next door neighbors Bart & Ellie invited my wife and I and some surrounding neighbors over for Sunday lunch. Doctors, lawyers, architects, all retired... and me. I'd say I was near 40 years younger than all the attendants, excluding my wife.
As usual, the guys and gals separated for some reason to chat for a bit like a middle school sock hop, and the gentleman started talking about 'Nam. My Father would beg to differ that their are no heroes in war, but I shared my Father's story with the neighbors. Somehow this led to the joe namath and Merlin story, which somehow led to Bart saying "I can't believe I didn't smoke pot until I was 40 years old".
I had to ask why he would try a drug in the 80's when it was so prevalent in the 1970's. His response was "Dumb ass hippies". Then he looked upward, as if he was lost in thought and said "There was a woman. She offered, I obliged, and together we had heaven on Earth". This was the first time a senior pulled me over to the side and asked, "You think you can score some nuggs for me?".

I've noticed I "lurk" more than I actually post around here lately.
I've also noticed I don't have much interest in actually playing any games lately.
I have to go get my 24-hour heart monitor thing tomorrow.
My mom also wants me to see about me testing my blood sugar (we've been waiting about a week to hear back about my other tests and I'm tired of waiting, I want to figure out what's wrong because I'm tired of feeling like shit and not knowing anything. Blood sugar is something we've been wanting to check out even though we're just totally grasping now since like I said, we have no fucking clue what's going on).
I also found out recently that my mom has to get some surgery done possibly some time this month (for the first time ever). Not good timing at all, seeing as I don't even know if I'm in good enough health to take care of her.
I wouldn't say I'm "depressed" but it's hard to have interest in anything when I always feel like crap and have so much to worry about.
However, I managed to enjoy myself for about 30 minutes today, my girlfriend and I tye-dyed some shirts and panties (lol) and it was, well, more fun than I expected anyway.

That's too bad. I hope everything turns out fine. And don't feel bad about lurking; I once went on a 7-month hiatus from this place. You might just need a break from games.harper wrote::

Breaks are fine. We all have different interests other than games. I like to read, write, draw and watch movies too. For me, these things usually come in spurts. I may do nothing but read for a few weeks, do some movie marathoning, and on occasion I'll mix a couple of them. But rarely do I combine all of them at once, if I did, then it'd feel like a chore. And other times I don't feel like doing anything.BoringSupreez wrote:That's too bad. I hope everything turns out fine. Right now it sounds like you've got a lot going on and just need some down time. Nothing wrong with that. I know you've probably heard it before, but try to relax. If you get all anxious then you're just going to make yourself feel worse and nobody wants that. We want you to feel better

Me too man, me too. Days away, shiiiiiiiit. I need to beat Skyward Sword soon...
Yeah it's pretty basic, so I'm only taking it at a few episodes off and on randomly. I think some of my friends liked the third season the most... I think, it was supposedly a more serious one that some people disliked (because of the slightly more serious tone), but I'm curious to see that for myself. Seems like good 90's fun in the vein of Tenchi, El Hazard, etc.AppleQueso wrote:There's a nice, affordable box set with the first 3 seasons.
