Honestly I'd love to own a console that plays N64, SNES, and NES games.Opa Opa wrote:I'm with you, irixith.irixith wrote:..and good riddance. There is absolutely no reason whatsoever for the WiiU to have GameCube support.
If we're going to start taking logic like that then we should start complaining that the N64 should be compatible with NES and SNES games.

Re: E3 2011
I like the idea of having Nintendo IP, whimsical games(I'm sure there out there...) and the more "Hardcore" looking games in one place. I've always wanted to try Assasin's Creed, to see if I'd like it. Now I don't have to chose between the two types of games this generation, like I had to last time.
The PS3, 360 and Wii had fairly limited libraries, looks like this one probably isn't

Known about it actually. Too bad that thing works about as well as your average clone console.fastbilly1 wrote:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tristar_64AppleQueso wrote:Honestly I'd love to own a console that plays N64, SNES, and NES games.Opa Opa wrote: I'm with you, irixith.

lack of backwards compatibility isn't a dealbreaker for me, and I doubt it is for anyone else either. It's just us going "No gamecube support? Darn, oh well."

Its more of an issue of losing the cube controller ports. But then again, hopefully those usb ports will support HID Compatible devices...well I can dream cant I?AppleQueso wrote:lack of backwards compatibility isn't a dealbreaker for me, and I doubt it is for anyone else either. Well the ps3 supports HID stuff...
I may not be happy with Sony, but I would be lying if I said I didn't love some of my ps3's nifty features like that.

TvC2 playable with my PS3/PC MadCatz TE stick might sell me on WiiU.fastbilly1 wrote:Its more of an issue of losing the cube controller ports. I heard a lot of people say it was a selling point. GC compatibility=Sell, lack of it means thy're not buying.AppleQueso wrote:
