Sabu has sadly passed away at the age of 60. He had a crazy barbaric retirement match just last month. I hope his death isn't in anyway related to that match.

RIP. I absolutely loved his ECW matches back in the day. He had a few good ones in TNA in more recent years too.

WWE is reportedly going to do an Evolution 2 PLE later this year. It's rumoured that it will be booked for 12th July against AEW All In.

WWE really needs some fresh blood on commentary. Pat and Cole need to go. They get more and more embarrassing as time goes on. This dumb Gunther story line, them dancing on the announce tables at Mania. It's all so cringe. Honestly, Mike Bailey's wife Veda Scott could do a better job than both of them. She's not a dork like Cole, and she's not as cringe and over the top as as McAfee

Cole feels like he's been around forever and at no point in his career was he ever as good as Jim Ross. Even Vince McMahon back in his announcer days was better than Cole. I don't understand how he's managed to stay there for so long. I can't stand people like him or Byron Saxton. They just come across as complete dorks and Pat McAfee feels more and more like some dude in high school who thinks he's cool while kids are actually mocking him behind his back.

Dave Meltzer talks about how AEW isn't "cool" anymore and I look at people like Saxton, Cole, McAfee, and Cody Rhodes and think, "and this is what IS cool? Really?"

Walker Stewart and Veda Scott would be a good pair. Walker was doing English commentary for All Star Queendom. He gets paired with Waka Tsukiyama on some of these shows for some bizarre reason as her English is horrible, she rarely talks, and when she does she never has anything interesting to say. Stardom fanboys always have glowing praise for her despite her providing some of the worst commentary I've ever heard. Walker is quite good though and I'd rather listen to him for a whole show than Michael Cole. Tell me you wouldn't rather hear this guy than Cole's nonsense

Pat McAfee is basically the embodiment of the Steve Buscemi 'How do you do, fellow kids?' meme. He's embarrassing to watch and listen to.

I have always disliked Cole and find him incredibly cringeworthy.

When I think of things that turn me off WWE, such as a the presentation and bright lights, a big part of it is the commentatory. It just sounds super cringey and lame. I remember rolling my eyes at the Rumble when Cole excitedly exclaimed "it's Yeet vs Yeah" when Jey Uso and LA Knight were targeting eachother.

You'd think an angry in ring promo from Mercedes would have done a lot more to sell her title loss to AZM than that lame post match attack, but what do I know? I must just be a bot cause according to Tony only bots criticize AEW

2025 will go down in history as one of the worst years in professional wrestling EVER, at least as far as the big two are concerned. I honestly cannot believe that after getting a big new wrestling company (AEW) and getting the guy who ran Black and Gold NXT (Triple H) in charge of WWE, that mainstream pro wrestling is in this state. Smackdown sucked. Dynamite sucked. I give credit to the talent, they go out there and bust their asses sometimes, like the women's triple threat at Mania and that tag team ladder match on Smackdown from 2 or 3 weeks ago, but they are busting their asses for two shit companies run by two shit bookers. Having banger matches that are just meaningless in the grand scheme of things, because the product, the booking, and the creative suck.

The one bright spot for me is usually the women's division in WWE, but even that's getting lame. They don't seem to know what to do with Tiffany Stratton right now. I don't know what they are doing with Alexa Bliss. Chelsea Green is being wasted right now because Zelina Vega fucks Alestor Black. Charlotte is doing nothing, and pretty much sucks anyway. Giulia is jobbing left and right and is now on Smackdown...for some reason. They don't seem to have anything in the works for Iyo or Ripley as they just steamrolled over Roxanne Perez and Giulia. I don't know what they are doing with Roxanne Perez, she is basically being booked just like Giulia, jobbing to everyone and going nowhere. The women's tag titles are just existing right now because Liv Morgan is doing a movie. Bianca Belair disappeared. Naomi is is an endless feud with Jade Cargil. Lyra/Becky Lynch has been presented decently but it's hard to get excited about anything with Becky as she's kind of a has been at this point and Lyra's IC title reign has been lame. Where's Bayley? She's the most interesting part of the Becky/Lyra feud but is off TV. They just fired Dakota Kai. What is going on?

I can't think of a single thing to get excited about in WWE or AEW right now. WWE typically gets a boost from Wrestlemania, but it was trash this year. Over in AEW, I don't think Tony is even trying anymore. Like I literally don't think he even cares.

Hangman winning was a shock in my opinion. Very good PPV, but certainly lacked anything to make it an all time great.

Best matches were Hangman and Ospreay, Mercedes and Jamie Hayter and Anarchy in the Arena. Okada and Speedball and Ricochet vs Briscoe were also really great (the latter surprisingly so).

Predictable booking and outcomes were definitely an issue. I don't think anyone called Hangman pinning Ospreay though.
