BHB is easily a hidden gem, vastly under-appreciated, and one of the best shmups on the Genesis.

Just got my power base converter and super smash TV and rolling thunder 3 from the mail today. Got a little scared because it took a minute for the power base converter to work but works fine.

Just gotta add this also. Was playing some Genesis on my non tmss model 1 and just for the hell of it I used my sons really good headphones and OMFG!!!! The music, the bass coming out of those headphones. I never heard sor 2, and others sound so good. Castlevania, shinobi, comic zone, even sonic sounded awesome. My kid will never get those headphones for call of shitty again. There going to used for games that are intended to have a use for headphones. The Sega Genesis.

You might not think it, but older games really benefit from good audio equipment. Speakers with good bass are almost a requirement to enjoy Genesis games.

Absolutely agree.

So, my girl surprised me with an early Christmas gift, that being a Splatterhouse 2 cart!

This game is fucking awesome. So much paced, violent action. Every action in the game has such a great response, and you can really feel the impact of each attack. The weird jumping creatures with their little shriek are a tad annoying, but otherwise the game is just a joy.

I made it to Stage 5 before throwing in the towel for the night. Those mud monster things in that stage are just brutal as hell.

On the music note mas, get your headphones, pop in Rocket Knight Adventures, and prepare yourself to be blown the fuck away.

The boss theme and the theme from stage 6 in particular, but its all good.

Yeah, RKA is insanely good. Even knowing the game was held fairly high by most, I was not expecting the level of quality that game offers. So many little touches too.

When you are done with RKA, put Adventures of Batman and Robin on. Seriously, if you didn't have bass when playing this, you have no idea what you are missing out on. The music kicks so damn hard that it gives Streets of Rage 3 a run for its money.

Holy shit guys um sorry for swearing but holy shit guys. My son has those headphones for like 99.00. So they are really good. All night I wanted to play streets of rage 2. I can't get the songs out of my head.
I will play batman and robin today and rocket night. I'll just listen ti o the soundtrack first.
This way of playing games has made me feel like this is my favorite system of all time. It was and is a new way of playing genesis.
I almost want to sell my nes collection to get the rare games like my buddy mentioned like musha and crusade of centy and grind stormer and a few others. Yeah Thats sounds good to me

Just kidding. I'm not going that route again.
For dunpeal:
I'm happy you got splatterhouse 2. Isn't it such a great game. The one title I loved on TurboGrafx is here on the Genesis but so much better.
I wonder how the blood would look like if it was on the snes? Clear like sweat or green like mortal kombat?

I played the soundtrack on a portable JBL speaker and it sounded great! Such a good soundtrack.

Rocket Knight Adventures is my favorite Genesis platformer. The Sonic games have a special place in my heart, but RKA is just in a league of its own.

Here's a sneak peek at what'll happen to your speakers. :D
